Im in the Marching Band, I play Tenor and Baritone Saxophone, Feel free to discuss any past marching shows, different instruments, or any other band related thing.:D

Im in concert for 7th grade, I am 1st chair!
my sister is in marching band and I might be in it.

trombone, and I have someone challenging me tomorrow. I challenged him and beat him, so now hes mad.

My freshman brother is in the marching band (flute and piccolo). I'm not, but I am in the jazz band (bass guitar) so that counts for something.

Bass Clarinet. Got lead part in Nutcracker Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. So i'm happy. Also learning the Bari Sax. Did you know they're heavy? I didn't know when I signed on for it. Don't march with it! I ruined the entire performance. Lets just say I lost 1st chair after that. Now i'm an outcast.

I'm a concert pianist ^_^. My school doesn't offer marching (home'd), but I've always wanted to try it :D. My good friend is in marching band. He's a trombone player iirc.

Are you kidding? I love marching Bari Sax, Its my baby, lol.

I play trumpet. Last year, I was 11th chair in the Middle School MI State Honors Band and 1st Chair in MSBOA District Honors Band. I'm in high school this year, I play 4th part in Jazz (since I'm a Freshman), mostly 1st in Concert (our director moves our parts around, I have 3 1st and 1 2nd), and I played 2nd in the mandatory Marching Band. It's awesome. I'll play 1st next year in Marching and I'll probably be a section leader when I'm a Junior and a Senior.

Not really, a 3rd chair tuba player in the Boston Symphony Orchestra makes $100,000 a year. And a 1st chair trumpet player would probably make two to two fifty grand. That's A BUNCH!

Still, guys that blow pipes for a living REALLY don't get laid... They blow pipes. What a conversation starter

Lol, Scotty, you have no idea what you're talking about. Do you know how much money concert wind players make for playing in groups like studio music and symphony orchestras? Let me tell ya. ALOT.

I'll give you that the general rockstar makes quite a bit more money than a studio musician, but look at the facts. How many people play guitar? How many make it big? The ratio for "pipe blowers", or whatever your insightful tag was, is MUCH better, meaning that talented wind players have a better chance of being successful in life.

And yes Scotty, what a conversation starter. "Hey, did you see that movie, Spiderman 2? Remember that Saxophone sound whenever the lady superhero showed up? Yeah, that was me."

You KIDDING? That's a GREAT conversation starter. Surely you'd have a greater chance of finding a girl [lol whatever :L] than, "Oh yeah, I play guitar." Nowadays, Scotty, everyone plays guitar.

Don't be ignorant.
