Someone bought all of those sheets and there were only like 4 that weren´t cross-cut.
One of them sold for a few thousand privately. Afaik none are for sale atm, not even privately.

This doesn't surprise me, I mean over the years these have been in production we never once thought there would be some guy taking loads home?.

What my question is, how do you take 5000 cards home?. They are all NM as well. Why these 3 cards ?. Why do we just find out now?

Either way thats 5k of gold stars that were out of production, so makes me wonder what the ratios are for gold stars ?. Say for that set 1 in 3,

5000/15000 boxes, that's a lot of uncirculated gold stars. Making the chances of having one, before he announced these smaller than any other Gold Stars.

He could have just paid a lot of money for the cards. Buying single cards can be horribly expensive too. Also he could have won a lot of tournaments or traded high for the cards as well. Got to think positive until we know for sure guys.:)

He could also work in part of the company too. If this is the case he may got a free box of cards because the box was damaged too. I know in some wherehouses if a box is damaged an employee may be able to take it home instead of them having to send the box back. This is very rare but it does happen. This is what I can think of anyway. Meaning the box the cards where shipped in not the actual card boxes themselves.:)

You'd think if he was showing of his stuff in a video he would have added "Also I have the coolest job in the world: working in the Pokemon card warehouse"

Then again that would end up making people suspicious even if he did nothing wrong (Which hopefully is the case :D).

Yeah if he did that he would loose his job. There are things he can't say if he works for the company. A lot of it is top secret or confidential XD. You have to be careful what you say nowadays because even if you did not mean it or was not thinking it can now cost you. 20-30 years ago almost no one cared but now they do.:)

No one could acquire so many mint ones, just like that unless you were really rich. If he did work for them, taking a few boxes home would never result to this. To acquire these, he would have to take them from printing or be very wealthy and purchase so many. But then the question is why?

So I think he or someone he knows stole them

Must be his favorite cards. Maybe hey buys expensive cards and then sells them at a higher price to make even more money.:)

Yeah but not 5000 of them, seems very unlikely. If he had the money to acquire these, he'd invest in something he could make more money from. Seems like they were stolen and he feels now is the time to sell them as he thinks no one will care now.

Maybe he got them as a gift from someone or more than 1 person. If he has a lot of friends that deal in Pokemon cards whether it is for fun or they make money at it they may have gotten them for him or he may have made a huge bet in a Poker game or something. Who knows. We will never know the mystery.:)

I wish I'd get a gift like that.

I would like to see how one of the cards graded out.

He was asking 35$ each, but was giving discounts for bulk orders.

Huh, interesting. Definitely agree that there's no way it would be worth it to fake all those, which leaves us with more interesting possibilities, likely some kind of fraud and/or company connections.

It wouldn't be worth $175,000 to fake those cards( not counting shipping)

This guy is nuts.

Either he printed all of these(Which is crazy), or he had some kind of connection to steal all of these sheets(Which is just as crazy). This man is a marvel.

It is kind of hard to print the cards as the paper they used is a specific weight and thickness that the company uses to print the cards. Maybe he is a former employee or is an employee and that is the only legitimate way to obtain these types of cards with that many pages. Think positive guys. Until we know for sure we will never know.:)

You don't know the quality of the cards. If counterfeiters can go to a paper supply company and get paper that feels similar U.S. currency, why couldn't he buy cardstock?

He most likely didn't get the cards by any legal method!

Yeah Probably. I don't think we will ever know unless we find a way to email him or find his Youtube channel if he has one and shows us how he obtained that massive set of cards.:)

Suuure. You know what? I'll call him right now.

-Hey, crazy card-rich guy, how did you get 5000 super rare, ultra expensive cards?

-Shhhh... I totally stole them! Be cool, though, I'm openly admitting a crime here. Wait. You a cop?
Damn, damn, damn, I'm not cut out for the slammer! those guys are going to make me their bitch!

-Hoho, yes! I can see it already...
-Why are you here?
-Killed a guy with a rusty spoon and ate his remains. You?
-Stole 5000 pokemon cards
-Oh, I see. *swats soap from crazy-card-rich dude's hands*

Um... Yeah, you're toast.

-They'll never catch me alive! *drops phone, gunshots and yelling are heard*
