Here's yet another 3 part episode where Red, Green, and Blue earn the Cascade badge.
Chapter 15: Meet Misty! Battle for the Cascade Badge! (Part 1)
As Red, Green, and Blue returned into Cerulean City, they eagerly rush to the Gym to battle the Second Gym Leader, Misty.
"Be careful Red." Said Green. "Misty specializes in Water Pokémon."
"Relax," Said Red. "Rock Pokémon are super effective against Fire Types, right? Isn't that what Brock specialized in?"
"Yes, but Metal Claw isn't super effective against Water Types."
"Whatever." Said Red. "I'll still find a way to beat her."
The Cerulean Gym was like a giant pool, but had a big platform to battle on. A girl with bright orange hair and an red singlet swimsiut was at the far end of the platform.
"I suppose you three want to battle me for the cascade badge." She said feircely.
"You said it!" Said Red. He prepared to take out a Pokéball, but Green had already stepped onto the arena.
"Alright Misty, I'll fight you!" He said. "Go Nidorino!" His new evolved Pokémon came out.
"Go Staryu!" Said Misty. The brown starfish with a red pearl in the center appeared from it's Pokéball.
"Nidorino, Horn Attack" Nidorino flung it's giant horn at Staryu, hurting it a lot.
"Staryu, use Recover!" The pearl on Staryu glowed and it sprung back up, good as new.
"Ivysaur, Tackle attack!" Nidorino tackled Staryu, hitting it far back.
"Now use Poison Sting!" Ivysaur released its Needle at Staryu, hitting it directly at it's pearl and knocking it out.
"Staryu return! Go Starmie!" The even bigger, blue Staryu with much more arms came out of Misty's other Pokéball. "Starmie, use Ice Beam!" Starmie shot a bright blue beam from it's top arm at Nidorino, but it dodged it. "Starmie, try to confuse it with Water Pulse!" Starme unleashed a beam of water at Nidorino, that took it full force. Nidorino's stance began to grow wobbly and it's head was getting dizzy. It was confused. "Now use Ice Beam again!" Starmie shot the bright blue beam at Nidorino, who out of its confusion did not realize the beam was coming and was hit by it, causing it to freeze solid, no longer able to battle.
"Nidorino return!" Said Green. "Go Wartortle!" His evolved starter hopped out of it's Pokéball in a burst of bright light. "Wartortle, rapid spin!" It spun itself at the Starmie knocking it and itself into the water.
"Starmie! Counter it with a Rapid Spin of your own!" Underwater, Starmie spun itself at Wartortle, hurting it a little.
"Starmie, try a Bubblebeam!" Starmie shot out bubbles at a rapid speed at Wartortle, causing it to be knocked out of the water.
"Wartortle, dive back in and use Bite!" Wartortle shook off the pain, and dove back in the water at Starmie, where it proceeded to gnaw on it feircely.
"Starmie, use Swift!" Starmie shot out small stars at Wartortle, whose dmagae was getting bigger.
"Now Starmie, see if you can finish it with a Bubblebeam!" Starmie shot out Bubbles at a torrid pace, directed straight at Wartortle.
"Wartortle, Mirror Coat!" Wartortle's shell began to glow as it turned around and the Bubbles bounced off the shell and right back at Starmie, looking even more powerful. They collided with Starmie and it was knocked out of the water, and knocking it out as well.
"Starmie, return." She said, recalling her Pokémon as she walked over to Green, holding a badge in the shape of a blue teardrop. "Here is the Cascade Badge." She said, handing him the badge. "You've certainly deserve it."
"Alright! The second badge is mine!" He said proudly.
"Okay, Misty!" Shouted Blue. "I'm next! You don't know how long I've waited to battle you!"
"Very well." Said Misty, who had dropped her Pokéballs on a healing machine.
Meanwhile, outside the gym, two Rocket grunts where walking just outside the gym, in disguise in those trenchcoats that the Rocket on Nugget Bridge wore. One was clearly mad at the other.
"This was supposed to be a simple mission," He was barking at his companion. "Steal a Machine part from the Powerplant, and take it back to The Boss. "But Oh no, you say, you want it to taek it a step further and steal Misty's Pokémon while she's away! Not only are her Pokémon not there, but you lose the Machine part!"
"Well, I guess we can get it back when she's away again." He poked is had in the window to she if she had left. "Aw, she's battling some kids."
"Wait a minute." Said the other. "They fit the description of those kids that ruined those other grunt's plans at Mt. Moon!"
"Well, well." Said his partner. "This is intresting indeed."
