Master Quest

Here's yet another 3 part episode where Red, Green, and Blue earn the Cascade badge.

Chapter 15: Meet Misty! Battle for the Cascade Badge! (Part 1)

As Red, Green, and Blue returned into Cerulean City, they eagerly rush to the Gym to battle the Second Gym Leader, Misty.

"Be careful Red." Said Green. "Misty specializes in Water Pokémon."

"Relax," Said Red. "Rock Pokémon are super effective against Fire Types, right? Isn't that what Brock specialized in?"

"Yes, but Metal Claw isn't super effective against Water Types."

"Whatever." Said Red. "I'll still find a way to beat her."

The Cerulean Gym was like a giant pool, but had a big platform to battle on. A girl with bright orange hair and an red singlet swimsiut was at the far end of the platform.

"I suppose you three want to battle me for the cascade badge." She said feircely.

"You said it!" Said Red. He prepared to take out a Pokéball, but Green had already stepped onto the arena.

"Alright Misty, I'll fight you!" He said. "Go Nidorino!" His new evolved Pokémon came out.

"Go Staryu!" Said Misty. The brown starfish with a red pearl in the center appeared from it's Pokéball.

"Nidorino, Horn Attack" Nidorino flung it's giant horn at Staryu, hurting it a lot.

"Staryu, use Recover!" The pearl on Staryu glowed and it sprung back up, good as new.

"Ivysaur, Tackle attack!" Nidorino tackled Staryu, hitting it far back.

"Now use Poison Sting!" Ivysaur released its Needle at Staryu, hitting it directly at it's pearl and knocking it out.

"Staryu return! Go Starmie!" The even bigger, blue Staryu with much more arms came out of Misty's other Pokéball. "Starmie, use Ice Beam!" Starmie shot a bright blue beam from it's top arm at Nidorino, but it dodged it. "Starmie, try to confuse it with Water Pulse!" Starme unleashed a beam of water at Nidorino, that took it full force. Nidorino's stance began to grow wobbly and it's head was getting dizzy. It was confused. "Now use Ice Beam again!" Starmie shot the bright blue beam at Nidorino, who out of its confusion did not realize the beam was coming and was hit by it, causing it to freeze solid, no longer able to battle.

"Nidorino return!" Said Green. "Go Wartortle!" His evolved starter hopped out of it's Pokéball in a burst of bright light. "Wartortle, rapid spin!" It spun itself at the Starmie knocking it and itself into the water.

"Starmie! Counter it with a Rapid Spin of your own!" Underwater, Starmie spun itself at Wartortle, hurting it a little.

"Starmie, try a Bubblebeam!" Starmie shot out bubbles at a rapid speed at Wartortle, causing it to be knocked out of the water.

"Wartortle, dive back in and use Bite!" Wartortle shook off the pain, and dove back in the water at Starmie, where it proceeded to gnaw on it feircely.

"Starmie, use Swift!" Starmie shot out small stars at Wartortle, whose dmagae was getting bigger.

"Now Starmie, see if you can finish it with a Bubblebeam!" Starmie shot out Bubbles at a torrid pace, directed straight at Wartortle.

"Wartortle, Mirror Coat!" Wartortle's shell began to glow as it turned around and the Bubbles bounced off the shell and right back at Starmie, looking even more powerful. They collided with Starmie and it was knocked out of the water, and knocking it out as well.

"Starmie, return." She said, recalling her Pokémon as she walked over to Green, holding a badge in the shape of a blue teardrop. "Here is the Cascade Badge." She said, handing him the badge. "You've certainly deserve it."

"Alright! The second badge is mine!" He said proudly.

"Okay, Misty!" Shouted Blue. "I'm next! You don't know how long I've waited to battle you!"

"Very well." Said Misty, who had dropped her Pokéballs on a healing machine.

Meanwhile, outside the gym, two Rocket grunts where walking just outside the gym, in disguise in those trenchcoats that the Rocket on Nugget Bridge wore. One was clearly mad at the other.

"This was supposed to be a simple mission," He was barking at his companion. "Steal a Machine part from the Powerplant, and take it back to The Boss. "But Oh no, you say, you want it to taek it a step further and steal Misty's Pokémon while she's away! Not only are her Pokémon not there, but you lose the Machine part!"

"Well, I guess we can get it back when she's away again." He poked is had in the window to she if she had left. "Aw, she's battling some kids."

"Wait a minute." Said the other. "They fit the description of those kids that ruined those other grunt's plans at Mt. Moon!"

"Well, well." Said his partner. "This is intresting indeed."

Here's the second part to the Cascade badge series. The finale of this 3 part series should also be up by today.

Meet Misty! Battle for the Cascade Badge! (Part 2)

"Go Ivysaur!" Said Blue, with full knowledge that Grass can overtake water.

"Go Staryu!" Said Misty. The starfish Pokémon again appeared out of Misty's Pokémon.

"Ivysaur, Vine Whip!" Ivysaur threw out it's long vines and entangled the Staryu.

"Staryu, Rapid Spin!" Staryu started spinning and it stretched Ivysaur's Vines and caused them to release Staryu.

"Staryu, try Water Gun!" From it's top arm a giant burst of water came out and hit Ivysaur, but Ivysaur seemed to be enjoying it more than actually getting hurt.

"Ivysaur, use Razor Leaf!" Commanded Blue. Ivysaur threw it's knife-sharp leaves at Staryu, hurting in badly.

"Staryu, Recover!" Staryu's Pearl glowed, and all it's bruises began to vanish.

"Ivysaur, try another Razor Leaf!" Again, the sharp leaves knocked Staryu in the water, it's HP getting low. "Quick! Finish it with Vine Whip!" Ivysaur instantly strecthed out it's long vines and threw out of the Water and onto a wall, knocked out.

"Staryu return!" Said Misty. "Go Stramie!" Her strongest Pokémon emerged from it's Pokéball. "Starmie use-"

CRASH.

A part of the wall on Cerulean Gym's right side came crashing down. Standing were it was where 2 Rocket Grunts and an Electrode, The Big Ball that the top half was white and the bottom half was red, that belonged to one of them. It had used it's Rollout to destroy the side of the building.

"You people!" Said Misty. "I caught you on the gym's surveillance cameras trying to steal my Pokémon!"

"So I see you know about Team Rocket too." Said Red. Misty nodded.

"Well, then I guess we don't have to explain what we're doing. Electrode, Thunderwave!" The Electrode released a bolt of Lightning at Red, Green, Blue, and Misty. They tried to move but couldn't.

"Starmie, use Ice Beam at those creeps!" Said Misty. Her Starmie fired a bright blue beam at the Rockets.

"Electrode, use Thunderbolt!" Said the Rocket. Electricity began to form all over his Electrode's body as it shot a huge bolt of lightning. It collided with the Ice Beam, but pushed it back at Starmie, which took full force of both hits and was knocked out.

"Ivysaur, try Vine Whip!" Said Blue. Her Ivysaur lashed out two vines at the two Rockets.

"Electrode, use Thunderbolt again!" Electrode shot another bolt of lightning at the vines, which coursed through Ivysaur's already worn out body, and knocked it out.

"You fools. Trying to use your already weakened Pokémon in combat against My Electrode." Said the grunt as he began taking the Pokéballs off their belts.

"A fine collection we have here." Said the other grunt, putting the Pokéballs in a big sack. "C'mon, let's leave. These kids are useless to us."

"Wait," Said the grunt with the Electrode. "Aren't you forgetting something?"

"Oh right." Said his partner. "Go Magnemite!" The small, metal ball Pokémon with 2 magnet's on each end and a big eye in the center. It stuck out it's magnets and a small machine part came out of the pool. It looked like a small transmitter radio.

"Now that we have this machine part, Operation Radiowaves is complete." Said the grunt with the Electrode. "Now we can get out of here." He said, and he and his partner left.

"What do they want with that machine?" Asked Red.

"Well," Explained Misty. "That machine part signals radiowaves from the Radio Tower, in the Johto region."

"What would they want to with that? Listen to some tunes?" Said Blue, puzzled.

"Well, I was able to capture their voices on the surveillance camera, and I think they're planning to use it to transmit radio waves that can control Pokémon." Said Misty, sadly.

Blue gasped in shock. "That's awful!"

"C'mon guys," Said Red, the paralysis beginning to wear off them. "We have to go retreive our Pokémon and stop those radiowaves!"

"How are we going to do that?" Said Green. "We don't have any Pokémon!"

"I don't know," Said Red. "But I will soon.

Here's the final part of this 3-part episode!

Chapter 17: Meet Misty! Battle for the Cascade Badge! (Part 3)

Even without Pokémon, Red, Green, Blue, and Misty (Misty's wearing the clothes she originally had in the Animé now.) ran over to the Powerplant. It was pretty big factory, with 2 Giant Generators on the top. There was Electric Pokémon, such as Magnemite, Electabuzz, and Pikachu gaurding the area.

"Looks like they've already taken control of the Pokémon in the Power Plant." Said Misty.

"How do we get in?" Wondered Blue. "It's completely surrounded!"

"There has to be a way in somehow," Said Red. "If we only had our Pokémon!"

Then, a Pokémon jumped out of the water. It was Poliwag, the blue tadpole Pokémon with a spiral printed on it's belly. A Magnemite instantly spotted it and thought it was an intruder, and zapped a Thundershock at it. But the Poliwag easily lept out of the way. Then it fired a Water Gun at the Magnemite, hurting it. The Magnemite flew at it for a Tackle attack, but Poliwag hit it with it's tail, sending it flying into the water.

"Wait guys, I have an idea now!" Said Red, taking out a Pokéball.

"No, wait." Said Misty. "Use this Great Ball instead. It works better than a Pokéball." She handed him a ball that instead of the top part being Red, it was Blue with two red stripes.

"Thanks." Said Red. "Great Ball, go!" The ball opened up and sucked the Poliwag in. It wiggled for a few moments, but then stopped. The Poliwag was his.

"Um, Red? Are you sure we should use a Water Pokémon to help us beat all these Electric Pokémon?" Said Green.

"Relax. Did you see what it did to that Magnemite? We'll be fine."

Then, an Electabuzz and Pikachu noticed them and realized that they were intruders. They both shot a Thunderbolt at the Red, Green, Blue and Misty and the all nearly dodged it.

"Go Poliwag!" Said Red. The Tadpole appeared out of it's Pokéball. "Poliwag, use Hypnosis!" Poliwag's swirl began to spin, and the Electabuzz and Pikachu were fast asleep in seconds after looking at it.

"C'mon, let's go into the Powerplant and stop Team Rocket from this evil plan!" Said Red, running through the door.

Meanwhile, inside the Powerplant, a whole bunch of Rocket Grunts were patrolling the whole Powerplant, making sure no one would intrude. One was right at the entrance when the gang burst in.

"You! The Boss warned us about you kids. Go Mankey!" The small, hairy monkey appeared from it's Pokéball.

"Poliwag, hypnosis!" Poliwag spun it's spiral, and Both the Mankey and the Rocket were soon asleep.

"Look Red, eventually people are going to realize that Rockets aren't reporting to them." Said Green. "We have to come up with a better plan."

"Hey, you kids!" Said a voice from behind them. They turned around and saw 3 more grunts, two which were female. "This place is strictly off limits to anyone who doesn't want to feel the full wrath of Team Rocket."

"Wait." Said Red, smirking. "I've got an idea."

Elsewhere in the Powerplant, where the machine that was controlling the Pokémon was, A Rocket was standing in front of A large machine that controlled the Pokémon. Satnding next to him on both sides, two Scientist-like People where working on the Machine.

"The Pokémon Controller should be at full strength soon." Said one of the scientists.

The Rocket smiled a crooked smile. "Excellent." He said. "Soon all Pokémon will be under our power."

Meanwhile, Red, Green, Blue and Misty had disguised themselves in Team Rocket uniforms and where heading towards the controlling device, with the instructions a hypnotized Rocket had given them.

"So, how do we shut down the machine?" Said Blue.

"I'm still working on it." Said Red.

Then they entered the main room. The Rocket turned around and instantly saw through their disguise.

"You people! Look you kids, you decided to mess with us, and now you're going to pay. Go Raichu!" The big orange, electric rat came out of it's Pokéball.

"Go Poliwag!" Red's Poliwag came out of it's Pokéball.

"Raichu, Thunder!" The Raichu shot out the biggest bolt of thunder any of them had ever seen at Poliwag.

"Poliwag dodge!" Poliwag lept out of the way just in time. The bolt of lightning hit a machine instead. Sparks began flying from the machine, as it fell over. That gave Red a burst of inspiration.

"Poliwag, go on top of the Control Machine!" Poliwag promptly did so.

"Nice try kid, but that's not going to fool me. You honestly think I'm that stupid?"

"You are now. Poliwag, hypnosis!" Poliwag spun it's spiral at the Rocket, and he immediatly went into a trance."

"Now, if you wouldn't be so kind as to use Raichu to destroy the machine. And give us our Pokémon back." Ordered Red.

The hypnotized Rocket gave him the bag containing all their Pokémon, then said in a hypnotized drawl, "Raichu, use Thunder on the Controlling Machine." Raichu obiently shot out another huge bolt of lightning at the Machine. Then sparks began flying everywhere and the machine was shaking like crazy.

"It's going to explode! Run!" Said Misty, as She, Red, Green, and Blue ran as fast as they could towards the exit. The Machine then exploded as they dashed out the door.

"Thank you for getting my Pokémon back." Said Misty, taking out two more cascade badges to Red and Blue. "Here, you don't have to battle me to see if you're worthy of these badges. I already know. you're worthy." She said.

"Okay Green, where to now?" Said Red.

"To Vermilion City." Replied Green.

"Well then, Vermilion City, here we come!" Shouted Red.

Here's Chapter 18!

Chapter 18: Sudden robbery! Stop the Theif!

As our heroes wander back into Cerulean City, they prepare journey to Vermilion City by stocking up on new items.

"These Greatballs could come in handy." Said Red, making a purchase of 5 Greatballs.

As they were about to leave, the store clerk said, "Hey, wait a minute! I reconize those faces! You guys helped Misty prevent one of Team Rocket's schemes! You were all over the news!"

"Uhh...gee, thanks, I guess." Said Red.

"Well then," Said the clerk. "You think you could do something for me?"

"What is it?" Said Blue.

"Well, it's kind of embarrising to admit, but a theif stole all my newly ordered Super Poitions right when they arrived. Do you think you could catch him for me?"

"Sure," Said Red. "Where do you think he is?"

"Well, he must still be in the city, robbing other people's houses." Guessed the clerk.

So Red, Blue, and Green where on a hunt for the theif.

"Wait, how are we supposed to catch this guy?" Said Green suddenly. "We don't even know what he looks like!"

Then they heard a scream coming from one a nearby house. Our heroes instantly ran into the house. It had been completely destroyed, with furniture turned over, smashed glass, and derooted plants. An old man and old woman were sitting in a corner, cowering.

"Everything..." The old woman said, as if she'd seen a ghost. "He...took...everything..."

"Woah," Said Red. "Who took everything?"

" A T-team R-r-rocket m-member." Stuttered the old man.

"Aha!" Said Blue. "The theif and Team Rocket must have a connection!"

"Where did he go?" Demanded Green. The old man pointed near a hole that had been busted through the wall of the house. Red, Green, and Blue ran through it. From the distance they could see a Rocket Grunt running of with a huge sack loaded with stolen objects.

"How are going to catch him?" Asked Blue.

"I've got an idea," Said Red. "Go Abra!" His sleeping, humanlike Pokémon emerged from it's Pokéball. "Abra, teleport!" Abra surrounded Red, Green, and Blue in a wall of bright light as they were whisked away, and when the light stopped they were right in front of the grunt.

"Alright, give us back the things you stole!" Demanded Red.

The Rocket sneered. "And why should I? I could make millions doing this!"

"You will because I battle you for the items! And if you win, you get my Pokémon too!" Blue and Green gasped at this.

"Red," Said Blue. "Are you sure you know what you're doing?"

"I have to make him agree." Red whispered back.

"Okay, looks like I'm getting some new Pokémon. Machop, go!" The grey, wrestler like Pokémon came out of his Pokéball.

"Go Pidgeotto!" Said Red. His golden bird came out of it's Pokéball.

"Machop, use Karate Chop!" Machop jumped at Pidgeotto and chopped it with it's fist, but it didn't do much damage.

"Pidgeotto, use Twister!" Pidgeotto began flapping it's wings and a tornado began to spin. It took Machop and spun it in the air, then flung it and it hit a nearby tree, in extreme pain.

"Now finish it with a Quick Attack!" Before Macho could even react, the Pidgeotto hit it at a very fast speed, knocking it out.

"Grrr! Machop, return. Go Drowzee!" The Yellow and Brown Pokémon with an Elephant trunk for a nose came out of it's Pokéball. "Drowzee, Headbutt!" The Drowzee hit Pidgeotto with it's head, hurting it some more.

"Pidgeotto, Tackle!" Said Red. His Pidgeotto flew towards Drowzee.

"Drowzee, Confusion!" Drowzee, using psychokenesis, stopped Pidgeotto from flying and threw it on the ground, knocking it out.

"Pidgeotto, return!" Said Red. "Go Charmeleon!" His red lizard Pokémon emerged from it's Pokéball. "Charmeleon, Flamethrower!" His Charmeleon shot a flame at the Drowzee burning it everywhere, but not knocked out.

"Drowzee, Hypnosis!" Shouted the Grunt. Drowzee began waving it's arms and suddenly Charmeleon was asleep.

"Charmeleon, wake up!" Yelled Red, but Charmeleon wouldn't wake from it's deep slumber.

"Drowzee, use Pound!" Commaneded the grunt. The Drozee began slapping the Charmeleon across the face, but it still did not wake up. "Now Drowzee, Mega Punch!" His Drowzee shot a giant punch at The Charmeleon, and the force of the attack caused Charmeleon to wake up.

"Alright! Charmeleon, finish this with Metal Claw!" Charmeleon slashed his Drowzee, knocking it out.

"Argh! You'll pay for this!" Said the grunt as he threw the bag of stolen items at them, then ran off into the distance.

"Yes! We recovered the items from the theif!" Said Red, as they went to return the items, then make their way to Vermilion City...

Here's Chapter 19!

Chapter 19: Day Care Man! What is his dark secret?

As Red, Blue, and Green approached Vermilion City, they saw a house with a sign next to it that read "Pokémon Day Care: We raise Pokémon for you!"

"That looks intresting." Said Red.

"Yeah," Said Blue in agreement. "We could maybe just drop off some of our Pokémon for the day, and have them get a little stronger."

"Sounds good to me." Said Green, as they walked in the house. It was a pretty big house, with a feild in the backyard with Pokémon running around on it. An old man was sitting at the front desk.

"Ah, I see you have come to drop off some of your Pokémon?" He said sweetly.

"Yes," Said Red, putting down his backpack and taking out Abra and Magikarp's Pokéballs from them. "I need you to raise these Pokémon for me." Said Red.

"Yeah, can you raise this too?" Said Green, handing him Geodude.

"And these." Finished Blue, giving him Clefairy and Oddish.

"Thank you," Said the old man. "These will be taken care of and leveled up."

"Well, we'll be back tommorow. We have to go to Vermilion City now." Said Red, turning away.

"Oh, by the way," Said the Man. "Take the underground route instead of through Saffron City."

"Why?" Asked Blue.

"Trust me, it's faster." He replied.

Suddenly, there was a scratching sound on the back door. They all turned around and saw a Growlithe, the small red puppy Pokémon, scratching at the door.

"What's that Growlithe doing?" Asked Green.

"Oh, the trainer that left that Growlithe here said he wasn't going to come back until he had a Fire Stone to evolve it into Arcanine, and apparently he hasn't had much luck, as he's been gone for 2 weeks."
.
"Oh." Said Green, as he, Red, and Blue left.

"I wonder why that man said to take the underground route instead of going through Saffron City." Said Red, as they walked near the building that would lead them to the underground route.

"Maybe it is just faster." Answered Blue.

"Wait, I froget my backpack there!" Realized Red as he ran back to the House. When he arrived, he was shocked at what he saw. There was the man, putting tons of Pokéballs into a large bag.

"Hey, what are you doing!" Demanded Red. "Give me back my Pokémon!"

"Not in your lifetime, kid." Said the Man as he threw off his disguise, revealing him to be a Team Rocket Member. "These are Team Rocket's Pokémon now."

"Not if I can help it. Go Charmeleon!" His firey Pokémon came out of it's Pokéball.

"Go Persian!" Said The Rocket Member. The big feline Pokémon came out of it's Pokéball. "Persian, use slash!" Persina slashed it's claws at Charmeleon, leving big cutmarks on it.

"Charmeleon, Metal Claw!" Charmeleon's hands glowed and it slashed at Persian, but it dodged.

"Persian, use Slash again!" The Persian pounced at Charmeleon.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!" The Charmeleon fired a flame at the Persian, knocking it out.

"Argh! That was my only Pokémon!" He exclaimed. "I'm still not giving you these Pokémon back!"

"Do you want to have Charmeleon Flamethrower you too?" Scowled Red. The Charmeleon got into a poise to do so.

"Hmmm. Point Taken." Said the Rocket has he put the bag down, but then bolted for the back door. Then Red heard a noise coming from the closet. He opened it and the real Day Care Man, along with a boy about 11 with short brown hair, jeans and a white shirt were in it.

"Thank you." Said the boy. "I left my Growlithe here until I found a fire stone to evolve it. When I came back for it however, I saw that Rocket and he trapped me in here. Is my Growlithe still here?"

"Don't worry." Said Red, recalling seeing the Growlithe earlier. "It's fine."

"Really?" Said Blue, as Red had told what he had seen. "So he wass just a Team Rocket Member in disguise?"

"Yep." Said Red. "But now the real day care man is back, and we can continue off to Vermilion City" And with that our heroes left for the underground route for Vermilion City.

As always, comments and/or reveiws on this would be very nice.

Edit: I won't have a chapter today after all. Something came up. Tune in tommorow for some more chapters, indefintely.

Sorry about not doing a chapter yesterday, even though I said I would. I will have some up today though!

Chapter 20: Underground Tunnel! Abadoned Pokémon!

Red, Green, and Blue walked into the underground tunnel. It was just that, a long tunnel with floor tiles on the bottom.

"So just how long is this tunnel?" Asked Red.

"Oh, pretty long, but it shouldn't take more than 3 hours to get out of here on foot." Replied Green.

"Ugh, three hours? My Feet are already killing me!" Groaned Blue.

"Well, you're just going to have to tough it out." Said Green.

"Oh man, If we could only afford one of those bikes..." Said Red, his feet also tired. Then they heard a noise coming from down the tunnel. They ran to the sound and saw a Weepinbell, looking tired and worn out.

"I wonder what a Weebinbell is doing here." Said Red.

"Maybe," Wondered Green. "Its trainer abandoned it."

"Really?" Said Blue in disbeleif. "People DO that?"

"I know." Said Green. "People can be like that." He looked at the Weepinbell, which looked back in a sad, sad, look, then he decided "I'll catch it then. It needs a trainer." The Weepinbell hopped in happiness.

"Hold on." Said a cold voice from the other end of the tunnel. A boy about 11 was standing there. He had long, black hair, with a red T-shirt and black pants.

"That's my Weepinbell." He explained. "I thought I didn't need it, but It looks like I will need it with this battle with the Vermilion Gym Leader."

"Well, oh well." Snorted Green. "You abandoned this Pokémon, so I think I want it."

Then the black hair trainer smirked. "You want that Weepinbell, don't you? Then how about we battle for it? 1-on-1."

"You're on! Go Wartortle!" Said Green, as his turtle Pokémon came out of it's Pokéball.

"Go Vaporeon!" Said the trainer. The blue feline-like Pokémon with a fish-like tail and fin around it's neck came out of the trainers Pokéball.

"Wartortle, use Rapid Spin!" Wartortle spun itself at Vaporeon, knocking it back and slightly injuring it.

"Vaporeon! Aurora Beam!" Vaporeon shot out a aurora at Wartortle, which hurt it.

"Wartortle, try Tackle attack!" Wartortle flung itself at Vaporeon, ready to strike it.

"Vaporeon, Acid Armor!" Vaporeon surrounded itself with a wall of acid, which Wartortle tackled and bounced off it. "Now use Bite!" Vaporeon lept out of the Acid Wall and lept at Wartortle.

"Wartortle, Water pulse!" Wartortle shot out a burst of Water at Vaporeon, which fell to the ground, confused.

"Vaporeon, shake it off! Use Bite again!" The Vaporeon tried to shake off then confusion as it lept towards Wartortle. But it landed right next to Wartortle, it's face smashed against the wall.

"Now Wartortle, use Bubble!" Wartortle blew some large bubbles from it's mouth at Vaporeon, stunning it and leving it wide open for attack.

"No! Vaporeon!" Said the trainer.

"Finish it! Rapid Spin!" Wartortle spun at Vaporeon, knocking it out on contact.

"Grrr!" Said the trainer, upset.

"Well, looks like someone's just going to have to train harder for the next badge!" Said Green.

"Fine. Catch that Weepinbell. I'll just catch a more powerful Pokémon to beat Lt. Surge!" He said as he stormed off in a huff.

"Well, looks like a taught him a lesson," Said Green. "Now to catch Weepinbell." He threw a Pokéball at the Weepinbell, it wiggled for a few moments, than clicked.

"Well then, are we all set to head towards Vermilion?" Asked Red.

"I don't think my feet are." Joked Blue.

Here's Chapter 21!

Chapter 21: Diglett's Cave! Stop the Earthquakes!

Vermilion City was by far the biggest city Red, Blue, and Green, had ever been to. It had a lot of buildings, and in the far distance they got spot a peir with a ship on it.

"Alright guys, let's head on over to the gym!" Said Red, eager to get his third badge. Then, the ground began to shake.

"Wha-what's going on?" Said Red on the shaking ground.

"I-it's an earthquake!" Stammered Green.

"Hey you kids!" A man wearing a red cap, and a fisherman's outfit was calling out from his house. "It's not safe out there. You can come in my house for some shelter."

The fisherman's house was pretty quaint. There were photos of him catching big Pokémon. They were sitting at a table, eating some cooked fish (Magikarp?).

"You see, for awhile now, there have been earthquakes in Vermilion City."

"Why is that?" Inquired Red.

"Well, not far from Vermilion there is a cave called Diglett's Cave, and the earthquakes are being caused by the Digletts." Said the Fisherman as the earthquake began to subside.

"Really? Earthquake is a hard attack to learn for Diglett." Pointed out Green.

"Well, no one has had the guts to travel to Diglett's Cave and see what's in there, so it's possible something else could be in the cave causing these tremors."

"We'll go!" Volunteered Red bravely. He turned to Green and Blue. "Are you guys with me or what?"

"Yeah!" They replied, as they all ran out towards Diglett's Cave.

Diglett's Cave, much like Mt. Moon, was a long and twisted cave. However it was easier to navigate beacuse it only had one floor. They could see why it was called Diglett's Cave, as the small, brown mole heads sticking out of the ground were everywhere.

"Y'know, while I'm here I might as well catch a Pokémon." Red said to himself. He got a chance when a Diglett popped up near him.

"Go, Charmeleon!" The firey lizard came out of it's Pokéball. "Charmeleon, Ember!" Charmeleon shot a ball of fire at the Diglett, almost knocking it out.

"Alright, Pokéba-" Started Red, but then the ground shook and he was unable to finish the sentence.

"I-it's another earthquake!" Said Blue. Then the ground in front of them opened up, and up came a Dugtrio, the bigger, three-headed Diglett.

"So that's what's been causing these earthquakes!" Said Green.

"But why has it?" Asked Red. Then he noticed it was standing in front of the Diglett. "A-ha! It's been causing earthquakes to protect the Diglett!"

"W-well, what do we do now?" Said Blue.

Red though for awhile, then said. "I'll catch it! Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!" The Charmeleon fired a blast of Flame at the Dugtrio, but it buried itself underground and avoided the attack.

"Charmeleon, it's using dig! Try to sense it!" Charmeleon focused and was able to jump out of the way from the Dugtrio. "Now, Metal Claw!" Charmeleon slashed at the Dugtrio before it could bury underground, and hurt it consideraly. "Now, try Headbutt!" Charmeleon bashed the Dugtrio with it's head, and weakened it.

"Okay, Great Ball, go!" Red fired the blue Pokéball at the Dugtrio, which captured it in a burst of light. It wiggled, wiggled again, wiggled even more, until the clicking noise confirmed it had captured the Dugtrio.

"Yes! I caught a Dugtrio!" Said Red, holding the Pokéball.

"Thank you for solving this whole earthquake problem." Said the Fisherman, after hearing what happened. "Here, take these as a token of my appreciation." He handed them 3 fishing rods. "These are good rods. They can make you capture Pokémon in the water easier."

"Alright guys, now that that problem is over, let's go to the Vermilion Gym!" Said Red.

"HEY! What's this tree doing here?" Asked Red. There was a slim bridge that led to the front of the Vermilion Gym.

"Apperently, we need a Pokémon that knows the move Cut." Said Green.

"Well, which Pokémon know Cut?" Asked Blue.

"Well, Cut can't be learned regularly. It can only be taught by a HM, which I hear is given out by the Cut Master." Answered Green.

"The Cut Master? Who's he?" Said Red.

"He was a great trainer in his day, but he recently retired and is now the Captain of the S.S. Anne."

"Wait a minute!" Said Red, taking out the Tickets Bill had given them. "We can use these to get on the boat, ask him for the HM, then get off and challenge the Gym Leader!" He then noticed the date and time of the Ticket, then gasped.

"What is it?" Said Blue.

"The Ship," He replied. "It leaves in 3 hours."

Sorry for not updating the past 2 days. I finally decided to buy kingdom hearts, so updates will be slightly slower.

Chapter 22: S.S. Anne! Retreive the Medicine!

Red, Green, and Blue ran towards the luxurious liner, the S.S. Anne. They were on the peir when they were stopped by a Sailor.

"Woah, there," He said gruffly. "The ship isn't boarding anyone for another 15 minutes."

"Well, what do we do now?" Asked Blue.

"Well, we could fish for Pokémon using these new Good Rods." Suggested Red.

They all agreed that was a good idea, and started to fish. Nothing happened for awhile, but then Blue felt a tug on her line.

"Woah! I got something!" She said, standing now and pulling as hard as she could. Soon, the Purple Shellfish Pokémon Shellder appeared on the end of her line.

"Alright, Shellder, you're mine! Go Ivysaur!" Her grass Pokémon came out of her Pokéball.

"Ivysaur, use Vine Whip!" Ivysaur wrapped it's vines around Shellder, and slammed it on the peir, putting it on the verge of fainting.

"Now, Pokéball, go!" The Pokéball engulfed Shellder in a burst of bright light, wiggled, then made the usual clicking sound.

"Yes! Shellder, you're mine!" Said Blue. Then a froghorn on the ship went off.

"All passengers now boarding!" Yelled the Sailor.

"Alright, now let's go see the Cut Master!" Said Red, as they ran towards the ship.

They went on the ship, and saw many rooms and even a dining hall. They finally reached the captain's room. He was a old man, with white hair and bushy mustache. His skin also looked very clammy, as if he was very ill.

"Um, excuse me? Are you the Cut Master?" Asked Red. The old man nodded.

"Well, we were just wondering if we could get the HM Cut?" Said Red again.

The old man rubbed his beard and then wheezed. "Okay. But first you have to do me a favor."

"What is it?" Asked Green.

"Well, as you can see, I'm a little under the weather. There's no way I can captain this ship in this state. Now, there is some medicine on the bow of this ship. If you can go get it for me, I would gladly give you the HM Cut."

"It's a deal!" Said Red.

They ran towards the front of the boat, which seemed to be an area for keeping people's luggage. They decided to ask a sailor where the medicine was.

"What do you want kid?" Asked the Sailor when Red tapped him on the back.

"Yes, um, Is their any medicine on here we could have to make the Captain feel better?" Replied Red.

The Sailor cocked an eyebrow and said. "Alright, but you have to battle me for it."

"You're on! Go Charmeleon!" Said Red, taking out his Starter.

"Go Machoke!" Said the Sailor. The Big, Burly evolution of Machop came out of the Sailor's Pokéball.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!" Commanded Red. Charmeleon fired a flame at Machoke, which hurt it quite a lot.

"Machok, Seismic Toss!" Barked The Sailor. Machoke grabbed Charmeleon and threw it in the air as far as it could. Charmeleon landed, in great pain.

"Charmeleon, Flamethrower!" Charmeleon fired another jet of flames at the Machoke, but it still wasn't enough to knock it out.

"Machoke, finish this with Karate Chop!" Machoke flung it's open hand at Charmeleon.

"Charmeleon, Metal Claw!" Charmeleon's hands glowed as it scratched The Machoke before it's hand could come down, knocking it out.

"Machoke, return." Said the Sailor as he recalled his fainted Pokémon. Then he reached in his Pocket and pulled out a container of pills. "Here's his Medicine."

"Thanks." Said Red, taking the medicine, then ran back to the Cut Master's room.

"Ah, that feels much better." Said the Cut Master, as the Medicine began to take effect. "And here is your reward." He said, handing out the HM.

"Alright guys, now let's go get that third badge!" Said Red as he ran towards the exit of the ship, and into Vermilion City...
