In Gen 5 they were still giving us actual toys, and cards with clear McDonald's branding. Gen 6...is when that changed. :/
 
Time for my new yearly tradition of buying an unhealthy amount of happy meals throughout the promotion in order to get the full set (current record, based off full sets to years participated: 0/2)
 
These are my guesses for what the cards are. Who agrees?

They sell them too me every year in Connecticut, I buy 10 of each release since they normally release them in 2s. Meaning 2 different box arts at a time for a 2 week period. They charge a 1.50 a toy, so it's like 15 to 20 bucks for 10 5 of each. Then of course my kids only are old enuff to play with the cards for fun together so I rip the packs out of there meals and keep the Holos and let them play fake poker and rip up the commons. People can think what they want but I enjoy having them in my sealed collection since I've been collecting atleast 2 or 3 of Each McDonald's x Pokémon Collab since the first year they released. I got them going back for years. I don't buy them to resell, I just enjoy collecting the sealed Boxes Sleeves the packs come in and then getting one of each of the Holos graded. I been collecting pokemon cards for almost 30 years now, I would never let people ignorance get me upset.
If another adult thru a fit cuz I bought 10 pokemon toys from McDonald's I've laugh in there face cause there workers and managers walking out with boxes to resell. Get mad at them not the adult spending there hard earned money how they see fit. Get mad at the workers robbing then by the boat load.
I know they do that also cause one year I bought 10 oitba random McDonald's and a worker said hold up and ran over and said I got a box in my car sealed I'll give it too you for 80 bucks and I got a box with 4 separate boxes of the celebrations sleeves with the packs in them, number 1 thru 4 and there was like 50 packs in each of the 4 boxes. Still got them all sealed to this day.

Do not let the soyizards and cuckquazas overtake you, fellas. Remember that McDonald's regularly uses AI ads on twitter and willingly feeds the IDF. There is a world out there besides Pokemon and we have no right to support companies who would sooner see those less fortunate than them be turned into meaty paste to be sold as mediocre, poorly-made, soulless burgers.
