XY Mega / Awakening Mode Battle System

^That was my main question too. But when I saw the demo video and noticed that there were no "Mewtwos Special attack rose sharply" like you said, now I'm confident the boost will be applied in the base stats instead of being an in-battle boost. Which is better IMO... As you said, if the boosts were in-battle boosts, they wouldn't be that powerful as they would be affected by certain attacks and abilities (I think of Unaware right away)...

I saw a video where someone played a demo version of the game at an event they went to. There is a button to activate mega evolution in-battle (and you can still attack that turn). The form reverts at the end of the battle, so no Draco Meteor Ampharos if the tutor still works the same way (assuming there is one) :/

Also, the stat changes are form-based base stat changes similar to Shaymin-S and Giratina-O.

I'm sure they'll find some way to teach Amphy Draco Meteor. I highly doubt they'll give him the ability to gain a dragon typing without learning the Key dragon type move. . .

It seems that they've shown Mega Ampharos using Dragon Pulse a few times, so it gets at least one high-powered Dragon-type attack.

If the Draco Meteor tutor will still only work on Dragons with high happiness then Ampharos will not be able to learn it.

If they changed it to work on "pseudo-dragons", then it won't be such a special move since I would expect stuff like Yanmega, Serperior, Milotic and who knows what to learn it then too.
