Pokemon
  • 2 Leafeon (Plasma Freeze for Energy Crush)
  • 2 Eevee (Ex Unseen Forces or Dark Explorers)
  • 3 Victini Ex
  • 1 Mega Charizard Ex (Fire type)¥
  • 2 Charizard Ex (Blaze Explosion)¥
  • 3 Pyroar¥
  • 3 Litleo¥
Total: 16 Pokemon

Trainers
  • 3 Gust of Wind or Lysandre¥
  • 2 Professor Oak's New Theory or Shauna
  • 2 Pokemon Communication
  • 2 Pokemon Collector or Pokemon Fan Club¥
  • 1 Gold Potion (Ace-Spec)
  • 3 Professors Letter
  • 3 Skyla
  • 2 Protect Cube¥
  • 4 Evosoda
  • 3 Blacksmith¥
  • 2 Muscle Band
Total: 26 Trainers

Energy
  • 14 Basic Fire
  • 2 Double Colorless
  • 2 Multi Energy
Total: 18 Energy

Strategy
Take out Victini Ex and power up the Bench with Turbo Energize, Victini Ex can also be used to couter Ex's as its attack does 50 more damage to Ex pokemon. Then Pyroar can be used both to attack (Heat Fang) and to wall (Intimidating Mane) for either setup Mega Charizard with Protect Cube or Charizard EX with Muscle Band for OHKO's. Leafeon will be used to counter water decks as well as those who use a lot of energy through its Energy Crush attack (uses colorless energy). Blacksmith, lets you attach two fire energy from your discard pile to a fire pokemon, and Evosoda, let's you look for the next stage of evolution, would be the most important Trainers in this deck. Lysander of course, basically a Pokemon Catcher, helps as well...

Ps.
- ( ¥ ) marks the Cards that have yet to come out
- I don't mind Unlimited format suggestions as both my current decks are Unlimited and as you can see I put some in myself.

Any Help is appreciated :)

RE: Mega Charizard / Charizard EX / Victini Ex / Leafeon - Great Deck

Hmmm... This is a pretty good deck. But the only thing is that you have some cards that are banned such as Pokemon Communication, Professor Oak's New Theory and Poke Collector. But you have pretty strong attacks with your Mega Charizard Y EX. An attck of 300 power is very but very strong.

Thanks for commenting... I don't know much about banned cards, but I do know they're on an Unlimited format (any card no matter how old can be used)... Either way, at least for now, I play purely for Fun so I don't mind having them in there, I still posted Stardard format alternatives besides those who would not apply... Any other comment on something deck strategy related or other cards I could use is appreciated, Thanks again...

i would say use only 1 or 2 Prof Letter at most. 3 is just too much. Your energy count in general is also really high. Shoot for maybe 12-14 energy cards total. 18 is just too much.

I might be able to use fewer Professor's Letter since I have Victini Ex which already searches for the energy, but my energy count I think is Ok, I've used this many before and it has worked out very well... To give you a better explanation I actually put that many because Mega Charizard Y alone could use five at a given time and I wanted to be sure I'll have enough to power up the other Pokemon, plus I need to be sure I'll have fire energy in my discard pile for Blacksmith to work as an energy accelerator and of Basic Energy I only have 14, so I'll take it into consideration and will try it out when I test run the deck with Proxies...
Thanks for the comment :)

Well, I do understand that you would need an ample supply of energy to power up Mega Charizard EX. However, your high count of Energy retrieval means that you can get up to 8 Energy back through the whole game. That should be more than enough for this deck. Like Ivy_Profen said, 12-14 would be fine, 18 is just too much.

Hope this helps,

4 blacksmith 4 flame torch, both make attaching energy effective. As a side note, and this may help for the draw just seeing as you use trainers to burn through your engine but delphox or electrode, then that way you have something else that can help you draw into a fast setup every turn, even if you have to drop the supporter phase for blacksmith to hit 300 with mega charizard, I think it's worth it.

PONT ain't shauna, nuf sed, shauna is prof oaks research (not the best card).

Well, if a couple of people think this then there might be something to it and like I said, I'll try it out...
Thank you guys for the comments...
Any suggestions on what to put in exchange though?

I think that since I'll lower my energy count, 3 Blacksmith is enough, although I thought of putting fire energy in the discard pile through the games progress when my Pokemon got Knocked Out, but had not thought about Flame Torch, I'll give it further consideration... Delphox I actually really liked, but in this deck I tried to avoid 2nd stage Pokemon, carrying 4 Evosoda usable on any Pokemon to jump in from Basic to Stage 1, it should have a faster setup...

You are right, PONT ain't Shauna, I actually preffer PONT... but it is the Standard equivalent... Every option put next to a card is its Standard Equivalent because I had thought of making this deck Standard, probably won't though, Unlimited is just way too much Fun... :)
