Strategy So what you try to do is deck cover, or evolve into M Venusaur and then stall with that 230 HP. Then you spam Hammers, while deck and covering. Boufalant is for Victini ex (bad for M Venusaur), and try to max potion and spam those as well to shut down your opponent. I HAVE NOT BUILT THIS DECK, SO HELP IS APPRECIATED. But I do think it has potential...

What do you think of shadow circle in this deck with maybe prisms? Then 230-hp MEGA Venusaur comes with max potions and no weakness, with no retreat maybe (float stone).

Prism wouldn't work with Shadow Circle on M-Venusaur EX as it is not a Basic Pokémon.

To be honest this deck would probably work better without Deck and Cover, as M-Venusaur has the exact same attack but deals more damage and doesn't force the shuffle. You may want to consider Dusknoir, too, to keep them locked into an Active that they may not want.

RE: Mega Venusaur Stallz? ADVICE PLEASE

thanks for that! what about the blends though? I don't want to attack with M Venusaur, as in the title it's for stallz. And dusknoir doesn't work because of Garbodor.

RE: Mega Venusaur Stallz? ADVICE PLEASE

Not attacking with M Venusaur is kind of a waste, since he's arguably the best Mega Pokemon we have right now. 120 damage, plus Paralysis and Poison (130), then add Muscle Band or Silver Bangle (150/160) and Virbank City Gym (170/180), and they have to take the second poison hit because of the Paralysis (200/210). That's am ideal max of 210 damage in what amounts to a single turn, compared to M Blastoise' 60 points of damage spread. Yes, you take a turn to evolve the Mega, but with that kind of damage output, Venusaur is worth it. I realize it may go against the theme you're working towards, but I thought you might like to know the numbers.

RE: Mega Venusaur Stallz? ADVICE PLEASE

Keldeo. Verizion. Slurpuff. All stop conditions, and bangle doesn't work on exs. I do like the numbers, but venusaur takes 4 turns to power up. I can't afford verizion, but I will try to grab some. Maybe victini with the blends, and more grass?

RE: Mega Venusaur Stallz? ADVICE PLEASE

This seems like the kind of deck Plasma Umbreon and Plasma badge were made for. Since grass and dark are on the same blend, that opens up some attacking options as well with a bulky Absol. Alternatively, if you have Teopical Beach, you might be able to swing a line of Reuncis and/or Serperior in there and heal an effective 120. But fitting that would be much harder than fitting Sableye and Max Potions.

RE: Mega Venusaur Stallz? ADVICE PLEASE

no tropical beach sorry. What about tool scrapper? I also need some max potions and and a regular venusaur.

RE: Mega Venusaur Stallz? ADVICE PLEASE

Without Tropical Beach you should probably stray from stage 2s, reuiniclus and Max potions are still worth while. Sableye and dowsing machine are your answers to tool scrapper, since Plasma Badge is extremely useful for tanking.

EDIT: Also, you'll need to put catchers and/or scrappers of your own to deal with Garbodor.

RE: Mega Venusaur Stallz? ADVICE PLEASE

Nah, I think that the max potions will be enough, but I will playtest and see how it works.

Silver Bangle doesn't work on EX Pokémon ;)

Very true. And I'm not attacking with M Venusaur, but thanks for that clarification.

Maybe just use Dusknoir and Reuniclus. No muscle band, no Virbank, no lasers, add Virizion. You can just tank with Reuniclus, lock them with M-Venusaur and then just use Dusknoir to move damage everywhere, so you won't need all the extra damage from muscle band and stuff. It'd take a lot to set up, but once the ball got rolling, it'd be a monster.

Wow.... Ok then..... Calm.... (it would work better with reuniclus, dusknoir and virizion, as once you set up, that's pretty much game right there) 1. This deck is inconsistent as anything. I suggest cutting 1-1 from the venasaur line and adding in 2 tropical beaches. 2. Cut all sablyes (useless as you don't really have many targets) and also the 3 lasers (you play accelgor) and add in 2 N's, 2 Mew EX, 1 switch and 1 ultra ball. 3. Cut both the GRPD and dark energy, and add in 2 More DCE, and use mewtwo over Yveltal. This would make the deck a heck of a lot more consistent and would make it run smoother. GL with the list!
