Mew prime is a very versatile card with its first attack see-off it can put any pokemon that is in your deck into the lost zone then with it's body, lost link use their attacks but only if mew has the required energy attached. Last format this was very usable by putting a Lv X with a low energy high damage attack (most commonly Rhyperior Lv X) in the lost zone then trading prizes with an unending stream of mew prime.

That was last format however who can stand by mew now? Which card is ready to be cast into the fury of the lost zone? Gengar Prime who has been the star of the show in his own deck 'Lostgar' ever since COL was released. Even though lost gar may still be viable in a HGSS- on format the speed of mew prime has convinced the majority of players that mewgar can be faster and more consistent than its predecesor.

But is mew destined to just be partnered with Gengar Prime in the HGSS - on format? No, mew can be played with any card that has a low energy high damage attack. Mew can even be played with anything that is considered to slow in its own deck. Jumpluff is a perfect example, most players think it has already enjoyed its glory days and it is ready to let the blue ball go and float into the wind of memory. But when partnered with mew the deck can mass attack every turn from T2 keeping up with some of the best decks around.

What are your ideas for some of the partners for mew prime? Make them heard below.

I run it with Lucario CoL and it's amazing for countering against Machamp Prime once I have enough Pokemon in my Lost Zone to use Dimension Sphere with Lost Link. As for Donphan Prime well I let Gyarados take care of 'em. Emboar, Reshiram, Donphan, and Krookodile are going to be big no doubt so that helps with Gyarados' playability until Beartic is released in Black/White Emerging Powers. Judging from what I've seen it looks to be an amazing set with so many playable cards.

I acknowledge the fact that MewGar is still a big threat to the HGSS-On Metagame however not every deck is going to be able to counter against it especially the deck I'm currently running even though against other matchups that isn't MewGar it does substantially well especially against DonChamp and Tyranitar variants.

The only big counter for my deck I could find against MewGar is Absol Prime by using Pokemon Reversal to snag their Gengar Prime Active to do 140 with Vicious Claw but even then I'm not sure If it will be enough since they will make sure they never bench Gengar and always Lost Zone it with either Mew Prime or Relicanth CoL. As for the matchup it slightly favors MewGar but I guess we'll see how things turn out.

I wanted to use it with Absol Prime to send Mandibuzz to the Lost Zone with Vicious Claw, all the while having my opponent's basics take 20 when they're put down. Then I bring up a Mew to Blindside each basic for multiple KOes while the Mew Stream never ends. Eh?

No love for Crobat? I've never personally tried out the deck, but I would assume it allows Crobat to be even faster in swarming. Seems interesting to me.

hmmm i like that idea dmaster. but i think its partner will always be gengar...

^^I love that idea dmaster, a list could use relicanth col to get crobat prime and mandibuzz into the lost zone while drawing a significant part of your deck. Then poison with mew and if they retreat you can blindside for the hopeful ko. I want the above Idea to work but with 130hp basics it wont be that successful. I think for crobat to be a good partner for mew it needs another card to partner in his deck to work.

Mew/Crobat/Jumpluff or Cinccino?

The problem with lost zoning crobat is when you poison and deal 40, then they can outrage for 60, ohkoing mew...

or, they can retreat; and if you ever kill anything, they can revenge super easily.

Mew is only good with stage 2's that need little energy for a huge effect. Namely, Jumpluff, and Gengar. Everything else is kind of moot; Jumpluff does 120 for 1, which can't really be beat.

^hmmm....cinpluff except its cinmewpluff...so much swarming

edit: actually....this deck is NOT faster than cinpluff mind=blown....you would think that a deck that uses a basic and a stage 1 would be faster than a deck that uses a stage 1 and stage 2 :O TAKE THAT RARE CANDY HATERS :p

I didn't say that it was better than anything. I just think it's a good option because all you need is one Psychic Energy to attack. The thing about Outrage is true though. But they'll almost die if they stay active. Maybe a Mandibuzz snipe to clean up mid-late game Prizes could work.
