Mewtwo EX Abuse

RE: Mewtwo EX Shamefulness

So does that make you as ruthless as Iran and North Korea then? >_>
Haha nah, basically I was implying that I'll attempt to make my local group scared to use them even though they have them, because once the first person does, we all will, and that won't be fun. :p

Either way, if I took this deck to a tournament I would expect it to flop as it only focuses on doing one thing, and that one thing may not always happen. I know decks are supposedly SUPER FAST in the meta right now, and as I develop experience in this meta I know this deck will change greatly. For now however, this seems like it could put out some serious hurt. I wonder if anyone else is willing to playtest this in addition to my attempts? Report back with your findings! Just do me a favor, only run it against Tier 1 decks. I don't want to be attributed to the clubbing of baby seals (aka league participants) lol.

By the way, the non abusive version of this deck loses the Mewtwo EX's and adds Gothitelle EP 47, Rare Candies, etc. ;)

In fact, I'll make a new thread on it.

I would, but I don't have the cards. I've always been curious about this deck. I've been told it was too slow, and I played one in States. I got paired down and he was already having a miserable time. It seemed like every turn, he laid down a basic, evolved Ralts, and attached an energy. And every turn, I'd Catcher his Kirlia, and use Gaia Power. That was the only one I played, so perhaps it was his build or something, but I really like the idea.

I'm this was Alabama then that would've been me (primarily there for my Junior player).
If I was willing to part with more $$$ then I think the deck would've been more effective. I had no rare candies or catchers or DCEs (maybe 1) or PONTs. I was hoping to play against more Durants and get lucky against Mewtwo EX decks.

I totally appreciate this thread which may shake from $$s loose for GA regionals (Junior is def. entering but I'm not sure yet).

I think Pokemon needs to make another card like BTS. They printed it in the same set that they first printed SP's; it gave Stage 2 decks a chance. Now we have 180 HP Basics that troll any kind of extensive setup. Rare Candy just doesn't even make up the difference since the Basics can donk with ease. I think with a card like that, this deck would have some serious potential. Still playable without it, though.

100% agreed, hence the point behind this deck. As a TO/LO and future Prof, I want to discourage the use of Mewtwo EX at the very least in my meta. Should people want to play it, fine, I can't tell them no because it is legal in Modified, but I can still encourage them to use their brains and build an actual deck that doesn't rely on the Mewtwo easy button.
