Might as Well - Ophie's Art Dump

Because that's how it's actually done. It's the whole "Sun in your face" thing that somehow connotes exhilaration.

EDIT: New image. This is a doodle. It has little to do with Sonic Generations...I was thinking about how in Sonic Heroes, Metal Sonic has the odd delusion that he's the real Sonic...

Because the real Sonic is able to turn into liquid and absorb people the way Metal Sonic can.

EDIT:
Here's another work. I've put it in spoilers tags because this is 538 kilobytes.

Magical Witch Parfait 5

All of these are original characters--this was actually a request from someone. I probably went above and beyond what she asked for though. If you want to see the images of each character by themselves, here they are (These are all tentative names--they may change if I feel like it):

Uizawa Ichigo and Hashiro
Nikki Lexington and Bloom
Susana Veracruz and Tamarilla
Mizuguchi Kiyone and Javert
Margot Svenson and Rudsky

Very good artwork! I like to draw dragons, but it's so hard to draw on the computer. Could you give me a suggestion on how to make my drawings into a avatar like yours? Or show me a program that lets me draw on the computer easily? Thanks in advance! :)

Do you have a scanner? I just scan it in, shrink it to the size I want, and crop the image.

I did consider that idea, but I don't know how to shrink it to the size I want it to be. Yes, I do have a scanner, but how do I shrink it to a certain size?

All right. You use a drawing program. Paint, Photoshop, and GIMP should all be able to bring it down to the size you want, though they each have different means of going about it.

Here is the full-size image of the characters in the banner. I wanted to depart from the style that I normally do, which is most strongly influenced by American thick-line animation and Calvin and Hobbes. Of course, since I decided to go for the chibi look popular with figurines, it's...probably not as different as I had hoped it would be. Nevertheless, my normal character designs don't resemble this much at all. Style-hopping is fun to do.

And hopefully, this banner is more organized and less cluttered than the previous one. (Though the color-vomit look was intentional.)

EDIT: It looks like Photobucket screwed up when I tried to resize it. I'll fix it later today.

Here's another image of Starlett. Wait, have I shown an image of her yet?

She is a Latias, of course. The idea came from the 5th Pokémon movie, where a Latias developed a crush on Ash and disguised herself as Bianca. That, and Latias is one of those Pokémon that I see a lot of attempts to anthropomorphize but have rarely seen done well. Hopefully, this is a good attempt.

UPDATE: Here's the full-size image of the current avatar image. I feel like the colors are a bit too dim--but then again, I like my images really colorful.

*Dances with glee*

I love the dragon! And Starlett is well-drawn. Yes, I think I've seen her before in this thread.

Keep drawing!

If you mean the most recent picture, that's Sal M. Anders. (After all, you may be referring to Starlett, who is a dragon too.)

The reason I did it, of course, is that 2012 is the year of the dragon. I already have a dragon character, so I drew her in the first thing related to China that came to mind: a Chinese restaurant.

The character on the left is Cooper. He's in some of my comics, though his usage as a character is somewhat limited.

Here is the full image for the profile picture I use on YouTube:

Heh, I don't really know how to do more intricate linework. I'd be unsuited to works of horror, that's for sure--unless it comes to writing horror, which...I haven't done before, but I do understand its narrative and pacing techniques.

When I saw the artwork for Keldeo, I thought that he could translate very well to anthropomorphism...and I felt like a genderswap too.

I don't know how she can hold anything, let alone put on those clothes.

Thanks! I'm a bit dismayed that I've been seeing more skunk characters pop up though.

Something I have not seen much of, however, are anthro Glaceons. Glaceon is by far the most feminine-looking of the Eeveelutions, and when someone draws them, they're with the other Eeveelutions. I feel like I wanted to design something closer to the official Glaceon. So I did this:

Glaceon - April 2012

I spent about two years trying up lots of different Glaceon character designs, but none of them I felt too satisfied with until this one. Although the inverted-colored eyes could be somewhat unnerving, that's how they made Glaceon out to be in the games. And in the show. (Even Pikachu is like this, if you look carefully.)

Another great thing about anthro Glaceon is that she can have zettai ryouiki without even needing socks. A low-grade zettai ryouiki, but a zettai ryouiki nonetheless.

The combination with colored pencils and digital drawing is great. Glaceon is a bit creepy, but I guess you did good.
