With the new meta concentrating with tons of energy, emboar/reshi blast/ferg/float and magnezones theres a big chance that decks will consist of 15+ energies. With that, KGL will have a good chance of being a good deck.

17
2-2 KGL
2-1-2 Feraligatr
2-2 Zoroark
4 Mantine

TSS 26
2 Collector
2 Seeker
3 Twins
3 Junipers
3 Rare Candy
3 Pokemon Communications
3 SSU
3 Switch
2 Indigo Plateau
2 FSL

Energy 17
4 DCE
10 Water
3 Rescue

Strategy

For all that dont know KGL's attack. Mega Tidal Wave discards the top 5 cards of your opponent's deck and it does 30 x the amount of energies you discarded damage to your all of your opponents benched pokemons. This may sound iffy but with the amount of energies in decks now id say chances are good and plus discarding 5 cards is still annoying anyway.

Feraligatr to help speed up KGL's 4 attack cost with rain dance.

Zoroark for foul play to use the oppenents attack, dont really know why i put em in maybe if fighting against reshiram or zekrom. lol I really wanted to use it for the first attack but i dont know how to fit in enough dark energy.

Mantine to get out my water pokemon and my legend pieces, im not too sure if this works but mantines attack searches out any water pokemon and KGL is a water pokemon....

2 Collector because i dont run to much basics, seeker for a damaged KGL. Juniper for hand refreshers, Twins because the deck is a slow burner and will take a while to get going.

Rare candy for fergy, communication to get KGL or something else. SSU for KGL. Switch to retreat kgl and seeker. Indigo for more hp and FSL for recovery

DCE for zoroak and KGL, water for my water pokemon and rescue for KGL.

Purpose is to mill and spread that juicy damage, im sure many have heard of the deck so ill spare you the complete explanation even though i basically said it. I was thinking of possible adding a mandibuzz for that awesome sniping action and junk arms but wouldnt know what to take out. Any thoughts?

Thanks.

I'm not sure about the idea. I mean, even vs reshiram, you're doing max of 150 to the bench. If you only pull 4 energy, you have now enabled the Reshiram to hit for 140 for two energy. Either way, you're 2hko'd, and it's unlikely you'll pull 5 energy in a turn to blast down an inferno fandango emboar.

hmmm. i love this deck. i really really do. i tryed to make it once but epically failed. thats all i have to say for now. more as it develops

you forget the teir 1 decks of yanmega donphan, kingdra, maybe even the pluff, all of which can get by with 8 energy max

^Even after the rotation? We'll see.

For a starter Pokemon, as well as Mantine, you can also run Delibird (I forgot what set it's from, but it's the league promo one). If you Rain Dance quite a bit, you can just attach 1 to Delibird, a bunch more to your benched KGL, and draw 3+ cards for your attack.

...Worth a shot, at least.

I tried making a similar deck with forretress form undaunted and lunatone and solrock from triumphant.
forretress is a stage 1 that attacks for 1 energy with decent hp, just let them get ko'd and start searching for the KGL wit twins and you can even get away with playing jirachi because most people will be using rare candy to get to their stage 2's thus KO'ing most pokemon that got megatidal waved at least once, its just an idea. :D
