Misconceptions about Furries

It's annoying when people think they know everything about us because they saw that CSI episode "Fur and loathing in Las Vegas". How can anyone be that dumb?
Those "fursuits" they used were so horrible looking.
CSI is a fictional show, there is no reason people should look at that as reality.
They actually believe stuff on 4chan.
They look at fursuiters and automatically think something is up. I love going out in my suit, it is alot of fun and I mean no harm. Thankfully I have not come across any narrow minded people yet. {DRG}

The fact that you have to make a whole thread just to make yourself feel better about being a furry doesn't exactly inspire confidence in what you're saying. If you find it fun, that's fine, but there's no reason to try and push it on everyone else.

Being a moderator does not give you the right to harass people on this forum. You have to follow the rules like everyone else.

As a furry myself, I take this in a little offense. I'm not a fursuiter, though I do enjoy collecting and occasionally wearing things like animal masks and accessories inspired by furry fandom. Sadly, much of the fandom is actually geared towards a lot of adult-oriented things, which really takes a serious toll on any clean furries that are out there. I don't think that CSI was fair to judge the fandom as it did, but whining about it doesn't help matters either (if anything, it just makes furries look all the worse).
