As White's anger grew, a rainstorm, possibly related, but not for sure, grew, and the rain poured down. It's power and sheer force put out the fire that Dec was sleeping by.
Dec wandered around in a forest. As she trotted around, wondering what was happening, looking for any sign of life, she stopped. She shivered, and realized that something was wrong. She watched as the forest froze over, all the lush growth being swept up by a tidal wave of ice, and the land around her was transformed, turning into a white wasteland. The sheer cold bit her skin, and she curled up on the ground. She dug a little hole in the snow, and tried to bury herself in. It did nothing to keep away the cold. She shivered, and fell asleep.
She woke up, and found herself in another forest. Even though the sun was burning bright, and the forest full of color, it was bitingly cold. She shivered, but, finding the strength to continue, trotted around. She found that moving around kept her warmer, and set off into a brisk run.
As she ran, she realized that there was nothing she recognized. It was nothing like any forest she;d been to before, there were tall trees with mostly a trunk, and then a few long leaves at the top. Every so often, she'd see a brown animal with four hooves arranged so that it could stand up, and it had a thin tail that seemed to actually be a limb. She gaped in awe as the animal swung from tree to tree, eating yellow, curved fruit from the tops of the strange trees. As she ran, she looked for any ponies, but found none. "Shade?" She called out. "Love? White? Twilight? Pinkie? …anypony." The last word was barely a whisper. She slowed to a halt, and she lay down on the ground. A single tear fell from her cheek, carrying all her emotions with it. As the tear hit the ground, splattering with dazzling rainbows, for anypony watching, and as the last tiny molecules sunk into the ground, her emotions went with it, into the surrounding forest. The cold getting to her, despite the tropical conditions, she fell asleep.
As her eyes blinked awake, she found herself back in Ponyville. However, something was different. Very. As she wandered around Ponyville, she couldn't help but notice something different about all the ponies; they were just lifeless shells. They were still animate, moving and functioning normally, but there was no emotion, no color, no personality.
Dec turned a corner, and, lying in a dark alleyway, a single pony lay, his eyes unblinking. His heart not beating.
Recognizing the pony, she gave a cry of alarm, a deep, meaningful cry that only comes around in the most desolate of moments, and she ran to him. Faltering as she reached him, she dropped to her stomach and cradled the dead body in her hooves, tears streaming down her cheeks, crying out in anguish, "Shade, what have they done to you?" Her shouts echoed to the skies, but were lost on the lifeless ponies.

Around the campfire, now a smoking pile of charcoal under the fall of the rain, Dec stirred. She didn't wake, but she tossed and turned, clearly troubled by something in her dream. It got worse and worse as the minutes ticked by, and she curled up in a position only brought upon by fear. She seemed to be mumbling something, but, if anypony cared enough to listen, it was impossible to make out. However, as another minute or two ticked by, a single word was repeated over and over in the stream of nothing, and it was loud and clear. "Shade".
OoC: Pony-ception!!
(Figured I needed something to do)
