As most of us all know.. well those of us who are playing the game correctly in organized play.. The 05 - 06 season is shortly comeing to an end.. With many sets being removed from the current format how do you think most of the main decks will survive.. if anyone thinks they have a grasp on what be the next meta game and what  decks will see with many sets taken out.. please reply.. I would like to hear your responce about what decks you think might be come popular and which decks from the current format will die...

Thank you very much..

RE: Modifed changes

I think Delta and Anti-delta decks will rule the next format, cause of the 4 Delta sets.

Do you think Champeon decks will last? There will be no more rocket return cards and that makes up a bunch of the trainers in that deck... Though i can see your point clearly.. Emerald will still be in strong as well.. though i dont know how its gunna effect the format

The next format clearly screams anti-Poképower, between Shiftry-ex, Cursed Stone, Lunatone, Solrock, δ Pidgeot, Mystery Shard, and many other cards. Everybody will be forced to run Windstorm in their deck, thanks to Mystery Shard, Seal Crystal, and Holon Circle. It will be a metagame where it is difficult to build decks in. I will always build rogue decks, no matter how challenging it is.

The lack of sufficient draw power also makes the format difficult. Now that Oak's Research and Copycat will be gone, it will be difficult to recover from a bad opening hand. There will probably be a ton of archetypes, more than any other previous modified format. Still, I will never intentionally build and play with an archetype.

I really can't wait for Pokémon-ex to be gone; IMO, they have been responsible for decreasing the amount of variety in the format. With the exception of Haymaker and CrowKingSneasel, EX: RS and sets afterwards have produced the toughest archetypes to compete with, especially for those who want to build their own decks. Still, it will take a good 2-3 years for them to be gone completely.

That's just how I feel, though.

yeah, the simple game that once used to be pokémon is gone forever, it's hard to believe that there once was a time that the maximum damage was 120, and that was unbeatable, blissey had 120HP, 0 retreat cost basics where nothing, stalling was a hobby and 200HP was just a myth, trainers where trainers, some special variants, but nothing bad, energies where like money, use to pay for energy removal and healing, that all changed, the game took a twist, slowly Nintendo took over and changed the whole game, persons became supporters and strong pokémon became ex, a deck can't become perfect anymore, cause every deck can be stopped by another, you need to be prepared for everything, the game is nothing like it was 5 years ago, and I miss that good old time

Do you realy do that?

Well, if that's how you see it, I think you will be happy when all those new broken cards and combos comes out. I love suporters, I hate EX. But I don't want the turnings that are comming now. The new format will be twisted, but the next year will be a hated year for many PTCG players. cause the few who can buy all those broken cards for 60$ each, will rule the format and those who only can buy 1-20 boosters per set will never get as high as they once did. The new format will be sick, and Nintendo has never did soemthing as wrong as they now have done by giving us these broken cards, I tel you, the next format will ruin the PTCG we all know and love.

wow mind reader.. i wouldnt go as far as to say its going to ruin the game, but in fact make it better..over time with little by little .. any player on the smallest buget can build an archtype deck with time and alot of tradeing. And like its been said- any deck can beat any deck.. it depends alot on play choices as well.

Consistancy will be the #1 thing to focus on. I think the person who gets set-up first will most likely win the game, since OHKOs will be happening like every turn.
