Mora's Season (Nationals)

RE: Mora's Season Update with States

There was some skill involved since we had to take the theme deck down to 40, but it was still person, and as I said, the games did come down to coin flips. But it was still fun (and was nice to use PONT just one last time :p)

Yeah, we figured Lugia would be the best play since we had eight attacks to take six prizes instead of four. We couldtake three prizes T1 if we both got the T1 (That's what happened first round.) We had a neat system--if T1 one of us didn't have the donk, we'd play our Colress Machines for the other. I didn't count those as T1 Lugias in the report though.

Isn't that what we said? :p

Nooooo. after looking at your tourny reports, i understand why you were shocked to lose twice. darkrai was the only deck that you beat practically everytime. and i had never beaten you before that. tehe

The judge, his father, gives me a game loss at a side event... He stole my box! I'm telling you, that box should have been mine. What if I didn't shuffle my hand into my deck? What if when I offered him to cut, he put my deck on top of my hand? I was mad about this for the rest of the trip.

Shuffling your hand into the deck breaks the gamestate to the point of being unrepaired. However, the judge for that game should not have been related to either player because it is a conflict of interest. If this was at the side event Top Cut Comics was doing, let me know, and I can talk to Jimmy about that so he can get on the person who did it. I was judging side events with Top Cut Comics for most of that day so if it was in the morning I would have been around.

They asked everyone to check to see if their name was on the roster. My name wasn't. Apparently what happened was I wasn't opted in for Play Points causing me to not have enough Play Points to compete in Nationals, which wouldn't have been a big deal if Pokemon.com hadn't decided to put my pop ID on an account I didn't create.

Once a tournament you have been in gets uploaded, if you have an account I believe your ID is automatically added to it. I'm not a Tournament Organizer though so I can't say for sure. It still is your responsibility to make sure you are opted in for Play Points.

They don't have your account, just the ID. It's not that they gave me a loss, it's that they should have at least let me know beforehand so I could have done something about it. My TO was really upset about the whole thing.
