Serperior v
210 is what you could expect from a V pokemon. Arc doesn’t need zig for knock out. First attack heals opponent, maybe useful against zoroark vstar decks? And 120 is just bad. Grade:3/5 it is an evolving Pokémon with average stats that can make it very akward for a tier 2 zoroark deck.
Serperior vstar.
Very great. Free retreat is ver important if you want to build a gardenias vigor deck. With the issue of only going to the bench being kinda fixed we might see a gardenia deck be meta. The main attack is very simmilar to gardevoir and sylveons kaleidostorm attack. This can help you preserv energies when being knocked out and it can allow you to play cheryl. This means that serperior could could be able to keep up with the healing arceus has acces to. It can also give you acces to alternative attackers in the late game. The star power is a decent blow up attack that can help you take away a threat or tempo. Grade: 4,5/5 very solid card overall. Grass already had support and this might be the attacker that can use that support. It can ohko, and tank. Should see play, but can it keep up with the tier 1 decks?
Mewtwo
In the late game you are not doing that great of damage. 180 doesn’t even take out evolving Pokémon V, it will need a choice belt firstly. Shadow rider exist for acceleration. Grade:2/5 a 1 prize non rulebox Pokémon that doesn’t do enough damage.
Zacian
First attack caps at 70 damage. But metal decks can use it for milktank? Not that they are meta right now. Second attack doesn’t need to be talked about. 1/5 lacks identity within the meta game.
Zamasenta
Is this the first time a zam is outclassing it's zacian counterpart? Zam gets +30 hp. Doesn’t change much. Gives usrhi decks acces to gale thrust —> yoga loop. It should be useful against milktank. Sadly you only do 100 without the revenge effect so you 2hko milktank. But with the revenge effect you do 220 damage. On a 1prizer. That is great. It can scew the prize race in your favour. To ko a vstar though will need ssh perserker. Which would force zam to be a main strategy. But that is not reliable as 3 energies per one prize attacker is too much for saucer to keep up. I guess magnezone could be a thing? Grade: 3or4/5 should be an auto include in dialga and bronzong decks as a one prize attacker (1-2 copies of it).
Ho-oh
Ability ends your turn and you will need to play 8 different basic energies and things will just be akward. Grade: 1/5 could be a combo piece for an akward attacker. But overall is just bad.
Altaria
Remember the evs altaria exist so that goes with this altaria. Healing your pokemon and damaging the defending pokemon sounds all well in theory but at the end of the day it just will rarely be used. We have seen attacks like this before, and when someone teched in an attack like this they just rarely got to use the attack. Grade: 2/5 can be a 1 of if you could consider evs altaria. Great value but rarely will help you win the game.
Swablu
Still no 60 hp swablu for expanded. 2/5 best swablu in standard

Also, Mirage Gate only attaches 2 different energy cards. You still need to pull it at the right time, since its just a one-shot thing.
You would be surprised on how consistent that works. The HP 160 with the ability is sufficient to be out of ohko range for a lot of non-V attackers we have at the moment.
Man that Mewtwo brings back memories of the first movie promo card and the Mewtwo ex (not to be confused with Mewtwo EX) from back in the day. Obviously this is much stronger than both in every regard and then some, but we've come so far that it's too weak by modern day standards. At least Mewtwo V-Union and V-Star exist for the Mewtwo fans.
Maybe we'll see a reprint with a possible alt in V Universe? This artwork is beautiful and I'd love an alt art for it as well.
