Again with this: this is how I feel so it must be true versus actual facts but okay. And I feel quite neutral about Ogerpon so I dont even have any "need" into make it relevant
I am excited for the addition of the master ball and Pokéball cards with the texture. Clearly it sparks some interest from the community.
It reminds of what they did in the Shining Legends set. I wish they weren’t combined with some of the most popular chase Pokémon of all time. The set is already so expensive and it’s not even out yet.

Maybe they won't ever be super expensive, but when you consider that Aurorus's only two ordinary cards are worth $2 and $3 and its promo EX is worth $10, it's not implausible, say, $10 by the time Drayton and Amarys are worth $4.
I think they are pretty neat, especially in person. Glad they were so cheap!
And how Roaring Moon's popularity is nonexistent in Japan but people LOVE it in the West.
It’s not. It’s clearly among the best pokemon in this gen. Also shows how much more versatile and open Japan is. Westerners just want generic cool dragons and swords. Go play D&D then. It’s really tiring.
I'm part of the "generic cool dragons and swords" crowd (hence why Roaring Moon is one of my top 2 Gen 9 Pokémon and is more popular in the west in general), but I am pretty fond of Ogerpon because of how they made her into an actual character
The immensely popular Ogerpon that is dirt cheap relative to everything else IN JAPAN. Signals are there whether you care to admit it, nobody wants this stuff
That's the best Ogerpon card cause it focuses more on her rather than the masks which all had an ex, full art, AND a SAR and a single prize teal mask but now we have 4 more SARs that look the same as the other ones
Might aswell just call it "Teal Mask ex" as shes barely on there! I love Ogerpon and the masks but this is just annoying. Similar to Eternatus I doubt she will get any cool cards after Scar Vi is done apart from the random single prize that comes out every 2-3 generations of sets.
Edit: Teal mask also got a gold, promo full art, and promo ex and is now getting a new gold...

I sit here sipping my coffee reading all the Ogerpon hate, planning my trip to the card shop to pick up all the Ogerpon cards for super cheap. It's easy to sit here and criticize them, and I agree their artwork is weaker than many, but I'm certain I'll regret nothing once they're gleaming side-by-side in my binder in all of their textured glory.
You always gotta keep in mind the vast difference between digital images and the card in hand. Especially with the Japanese print quality. Stuff doesn't have to have market value to have collection value.

I don't even hate Ogerpon, I think it's a pretty cool pokemon and like the idea of the alternate masks. My issue is they didn't really do much with the SAR's and could've had it be in an environment that hints to the lore in the DLC or showing it do something
I still think it's better than the archaludon SIR which I personally think is the ugliest SIR we've seen yet
Ogerpon is popular, but isn't that mostly centered around her maskless form? I'm really not surprised that the SIRs aren't doing too hot, since the actual Pokémon that people like is tiny and partially or mostly obscured by text on all eight of them.

I do too. There are a lot of really cool cards that don't get enough love.
I really hate that Flareon is the only Eevee evolution whose secret rare didn't show up on this list. I don't know what's not to like about it. It's actually my favorite of the Eevee evolutions, so it will always be the most valuable one in my heart.
