Mudkipz

It actually started as a comment on Deviant Art. The inventor, a member of the site was trying to invite someone to his pokemon club of sorts, and he left the famous comment "So...I herd u like mudkipz?" and it all started from there. There are other myths and rumors as to how it came about, but thats the official explanation according to Facebook's Quiz "What Internet Meme are you" which seems pretty accurate. (I took the quiz and got this result, so thats how I knew)

Whether or not said person actually joined is unknown. The Mudkip has a mediocre reputation amongst Pokemon fans, but ever since its first appearance on 4chan has become one of the de facto mascots of the subversive image board.

There was a Deviant Art user who created a Pokemon group. He/she invited people to it using a similar version of "So I heard you like Mudkipz?"

It quickly was picked up by a 4chan user who was invited and reposted it.
