Hiya all, just wanted to post to show that I, indeed, am in this game, and will be paying attention to it.

However, on day 1, we have barely anything to go on.



What I ask you guys, is what you'd rather do. We can go with what y'all have said and lynch MrGatr, who, in my opinion, seems like a valid lynch should we choose to lynch an active member.
OR
We can lynch a member who hasn't cared enough to post at all on this day (And could be a townie who doesn't have internet access, or could be a wolf who really doesn't want to make a slip-up)



My question to all of you, is what would you rather do?

I'll answer later. But someone bump for me plz so I can post more stuff.

Mr. Gatr seems a little jumpy and a little eager to make it to the night. However, I think it's very likely he's just a townie, and suffering from the inexperience that comes from being a newer player. I could cast my vote for him if nothing else arises within the day.

Concerning the strategy of voting off inactives, without any real leads, I think it's a viable strategy for the time being. At least, until said inactives post, in any event, and when that occurs we can decide for ourselves whether they are guilty or not.

Really, people lynched on the first day are in one of two groups.
Group A: They were Inactive
Group B: They got Bandwagon'd

I honestly don't like the idea of an active member going, so when the time comes, I'll vote for the inactive.

I highly disagree on lynching an inactive member. I mean, this game just opened up yesterday. I say wait until next round and up to lynch the inactives.

I'm not saying we should vote off inactive members this game day, I'm just saying I'd rather vote off somebody who really won't be useful in discussion, than somebody who accidentally misworded/didn't explain their logic enough.

As mentioned above, killing in-actives isn't really the way to go at this point. I mean, just because someone hasn't posted in the first day or two (calendar days) doesn't mean "Oh look, they're a wolf! Let's get them!" It's very hard to determine true activity at such an early point in the game. People have lives, you know.

On the subject of MrGatr, I too believe he's just a bit inexperienced (Though this is the only my second Mafia game...and the first time I've actually participated lol) and is innocent. If nothing else comes up, I might cast my vote for him, (Mainly because inexperience does not help us win) but only if absolutely no evidence comes up between now and the deadline.

Guys...we have nothing to go on. Getting rid of an inactive will allow people with night roles to give us some insight on who to go for. Inactives give us nothing. I would much rather get rid of someone that hasn't posted than get rid of someone who is actually adding something to the discussion...

I was reading through this, and MrGatr (being a new player) sounds like someone with an interesting ability. He's probably not one of the Magikoopas (even non-experienced players know not to rush to nightfall [hopefully]).

I also agree that we shouldn't get rid of an inactive. As T-King said.

I get back from a day or school and people aren't bandwagoning me, this is a pleasant surprise after what happened in Duck Hunt. Anyway, I've looked over the rules a couple times and can't find if there are random lynches or not if no one is voted for. Bippa, could you please clarify if random lynches take place or not? It won't matter for today since T-king and Xdogking already voted for someone and can't unvote, but it might be brought up later in the game. Anyway, it seems like the two options at this point are vote for inactives or vote for MrGatr. Like many others, I don't believe voting for inactives is a good idea, especially because you can't take back the vote if they post something useful and turn out to be a good guy. I suppose T-King is also a bit suspicious for making the first vote day 1, which people generally don't want to do. As of now, I am undecided and I want to wait for a bit more evidence for or against anyone before I make a decision.

As I've said, I'm not gonna vote till at least tomorrow. By then we will know the true inactives and it gives the inexperienced another day to start digging there holes...we play the waiting game ;D

I'd save MrGatr for tomorrow if we're still after him. Today we have nothing. I think he's just inexperienced to these kinds of games, seeing how he's also edited his posts. I'm voting someone who (still) hasn't posted just because we need to get rid of someone and it's better to go for someone inactive when we have no evidence at all.

What do you call this if it isn't a post, Xdogking? I think you missed that, but it doesn't matter because you can't unvote. That's why lynching inactives is a really bad idea.

^It doesn't matter, they should have just been active, most people have WiFi, on their phones, and all hotels, have computers, and or WiFi... Even if they were camping, they would be back, on Sunday, guys, people aren't gonna be on vacation, school has started...

I made this post this morning, but I couldn't get anyone to bump for me, so I'll post it now. It's basically just my analysis of Gatr's posts.

I can't really get much out of this, but someone else can feel free to try. All I think he's saying is that there's no point in him defending himself. (Which could theoretically lead to a slip up.)

But if it isn't, do we really want someone who is a noob, makes all sorts of errors he shouldn't be making, and also doing all the other things that I've outlined?




This is a really bad analysis, but it covers the basics of what his posts were saying. Once again, someone can feel free to go through and analyse them more.



I'm not going to vote yet, because I only get one vote, but if we choose not to vote for an inactive, unless MrGatr does a lot of explaining, he has my vote.

So wait. Just because people have wifi, means they need to make a post every 24 hours? That makes no sense.

I'm beginning to think you want this day over so you can start lynching people...

Wait, slick, how do you know that the evil guys are called Magikoopas? I never remember seeing any information like this anywhere.
