Hi there. I'm DiZ. I'm going to post my 'idea' of a team. I have some of the Pokémon listed here.

Well, let's start with the team. Changes will be marked in bold.

Team Construction.

Well, I've decided to start with a Pokémon that I really, really like. It is a greatly used Pokémon, it is in OU (If I remember correctly) and it is a great Pokémon in general. So, here it is, my first Pokémon, Reuniclus.

Then, I've decided to put other 5th Gen Pokémon, that I also like, it has a great movepool, unique typing and great sweep posibilities. The 2nd Pokémon in my team is, Hydreigon.

579-shiny-frame1.png

Then, I thought that I have two 5th Gen Pokémon. I decided to put a classic one then. I have used it before, with great results. It is from the 2nd Gen, one of my favourite Pokémon, that I've rediscovered in HeartGold. Here it is, Scizor.

I was thinking that I need a good lead. I didn't want a weather team, so I was thinking on one of the best leaders in the whole metagame. It is a 5th Gen Pokémon, too, but it was too epic to not put it here. My 4th team member and my lead, Mienshao.

I was thinking on coverage, and I know the posibilities of this Pokémon, but I didn't know how to make a good set for it, because I didn't used it before. So, here it is. The 5th member of my team, Gliscor.

Finally, here is the last member of my team. It was surprisingly difficult to decide what Pokémon to put here, because I had a great number of options. I decided a Electric Pokémon. I had to decide between two Pokémon: Electivire and Luxray. Luxray has awful movepool, and its attack is 3 points lower than Electivire's. I've changed Luxray for Magnezone.

The Team:

Babydoll (F) @ Life Orb.
Regenerator.
- Fake Out
- Hi Jump Kick
- Taunt
- U-Turn
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 HP
Jolly Nature.

She's Babydoll. She is my lead. I've decided to use her as a lead because she can Fake Out the first turn almost any other Pokémon, then HJK if the opposite lead is a Tyranitar, or other Pokémon, if it gives at least neutral damage, U-Turn for scouting, Taunt for preventing the other leads from using Stealth Rock or other entry hazards, or to prevent the other leads from setupping. Mienshao base attack is surprinsingly high, and its Speed allows her to outsped many other Pokémon. U-Turn helps me for coverage, too. Life Orb rises HJK power to insane levels. Jolly secures that, if I have luck, I won't be outsped by other Mienshao.

Jellybean (M) @ Leftovers.
Magic Guard.
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Recover
- Focus Blast
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk/ 156 HP/ 80 Sp.Def
Modest Nature.

Jellybean!! I love that name. Ok, happy lapsus. I chose Reuniclus because, although slow, it has a great Special Attack, a great ability, good bulk, and a marvelous movepool. Magic Guard ensures that I won't be damaged by weather, Poison, Burn, etc. Because of that and Focus Blast, I can use it against Hail teams, the only contra is that Focus Blast hasn't perfect accuracy. Calm Mind makes me bulkier, and gives me higher Sp.Atk. With Psyshock, I can KO Fightnings, special sponges and other Pokémon. Recover is the reliable recovery alternative. Focus Blast kills Darks, Ices, Steels, etc. The HP and the Sp.Def EVs make me bulkier and makes me stall. Modest lowers my unused attack stat and rise my principal sweep stat.

Scizor_art_by_Pokemon_Diamond.png

Pinceron (M) @ Choice Band.
Technician.
- Bullet Punch
- Superpower
- Pursuit
- U-turn
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 Sp.Def
Adamant Nature.

He is Pinceron. One of my favourite Pokémon. It has great base stats, good movepool, priority moves and Pursuit. Pursuit! With prediction, you can get easy KOs. Choice Band rises my great Attack. Technician is a great ability. Multiplies for 1.5 every move with base power of 60 or less. Great! Bullet Punch. Technician + Choice Band + STAB + Adamant + 130 Base Attack = Let the fun begin! Wing Attack gets a great coverage with Bullet Punch and X-Scissor, also get Technician and Choice Band boost. Pursuit kills almost every Pokémon trying to run from Pinceron, except Pokémon with 4x resist. But it needs a Bullet Punch first. I changed X-Scissor to U-turn. I like more X-Scissor, but Technician helps. The Spd EVs get me some easier KOs. I put Superpower.

200px-hydreigon-dream-world_dyc.png

Blackjack (M) @ Life Orb
Levitate.
- Dark Pulse
- Focus Blast
- Draco Meteor
- Flamethrower
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 Sp.Def
Hasty Nature.

Blackjack. Other of my favourite Pokémon. Originally, I was using Rash Nature, until I realized that I needed that Sp.Def. Dark Pulse is one of my favourite attacks, alongside Bullet Punch. It gets STAB, a great effect if I hit first and its name is cool. Now I changed Earthquake for Focus Blast. I don't like too much having Focus Blast and Flamethrower on the same set, but.... I'm using it. Draco Meteor is STAB, max power and Blackjack has a great Sp.Atk. Do the maths. Focus Blast is for coverage, but I'm thinking of change it to either Stone Edge or Flamethrower. The Speed EV are a big help. And the Life Orb rises the power of my attacks. I changed Focus Blast to Flamethrower. I didn't used Fire Blast because of the accuracy.

Gliscor.jpg

E.B. (F) @Toxic Orb
Poison Heal.
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Ice Fang
- Taunt
EVs: 252 HP/ 184 Def/ 72 Spd.
Impish Nature.

E.B. is a great status absorber. Simply great. And it is my wall-thingy. Earthquake is great STAB and pure power. Swords Dance rises my Attack for start sweeping a bit. Ice Fang is pretty useful against Flying types. Also Dragons get big n' bad damage from Ice Fang. I put Taunt for stop set up of Pokémon like Scizor and similars. Bippa gave me this EV spread. I used bad the other one. I am thinking on change Aerial Ace to either Rock Slide or Poison Jab.

Magnezone_en_Pok%C3%A9mon_Ranger_2.png

Magneto @Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
- Discharge
- HP Fire
- Flash Cannon
- Volt Switch
EVs: 252 Sp. Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 Def.
Timid Nature

Magnezone. A recent addition to my team. It makes the function of Steel killer. I would put instead of it, Rotom-W, because of it great synergy with Scizor. But I prefer Magnezone (for now). Discharge is STAB, paralysis, great attack. HP Fire is for once that I've trapped Scizor, Ferrothorn of Forretress. Flash Cannon is other STAB, handles Rocks, Ices, etc. Volt Switch is if other Magnezones of Magnetons w/Eviolite tries to trap me. Timid and 252 EVs grants me a decent Speed, as the Sp.Atk is already great. Air Ballon saves me from Ground attacks.

So, this was my team. Hope this is good. Please rate.

Old Teammates:

thumb_pixelluxray.gif

Luxray (F) @ Flame Orb
Guts.
- Wild Charge
- Ice Fang
- Crunch
- Facade
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Sp.Atk/ 4 HP
Jolly Nature.

*approved*

If you're going to use an Electric type, I'd suggest Zapdos or Thundurus. Both have massive special attack stats. Thundurus can sweep with nasty Plot, and Zapdos can be offensive, or defensive, depending on your moveset. I would use Zapdos because he's got Access to Roost, HP Ice, and Heat Wave. It seems like you don't have much to counter Grass pokemon, Steel pokemon, or Gliscor. Zapdos can take out all of these, if played right.

Hey DiZ. Welcome to PokeBeach, and thanks for joining the VG community. I will do my best to help your team.

I would remove Taunt for Hidden Power [Ice] to hit Gliscor hard, as he walls and stalls out most of your team. But Taunt is still a good choice to stop entry hazards, so the choice is up to you.

Jellybean (M) @ Leftovers.
Magic Guard.
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Recover
- Focus Blast
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk/ 156 HP/ 80 Sp.Def
Modest Nature.
Good job here. However, you will want to change the nature to Bold, and max out the HP and Defense EVs instead, as it lets Reuniclus set up more Calm Minds, which in turn makes it more threatening.

Pinceron (M) @ Choice Band.
Technician.
- Bullet Punch
- Wing Attack
- Pursuit
- X-Scissor
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 Sp.Def
Adamant Nature.
Good job here as well. I highly recommend switching X-Scissor for U Turn, due to the switch causing a lot of switches. The other change would be to switch Wing Attack for Superpower, as otherwise, Scizor is walled by Steel types.

Blackjack (M) @ Life Orb
Levitate.
- Dark Pulse
- Earthquake
- Draco Meteor
- Focus Blast
EVs: 252 Sp.Atk/ 156 Spd/ 80 Atk
Mild Nature.
I would suggest replacing Earthquake with Fire Blast. Fire is a great type for a coverage move, hitting those Steels, especially Flying or Levitating ones (Skarmory and Bronzong) that Earthquake can't. Then you can put those attack EVs into Speed, and run a Timid Nature, as Hydreigon needs all the speed it can get.

E.B. (F) @Toxic Orb
Poison Heal.
- Earthquake
- Aerial Ace
- Ice Fang
- Knock Off
EVs: 252 HP/ 200 Def/ 56 Atk.
Impish Nature.
First of all, I would slightly fix the attack EVs. Only 184 of them are needed in Defense, and the remaining 72 can go into speed. I would then swap Aerial Ace and Knock Off for Swords Dance and Taunt. Taunt stops Pokemon like Scizor from stacking up boosts while Gliscor stuggles to damage them, and with Gliscor's bulk, it can function as a powerful bulky sweeper when using Swords Dance.

Comettail (M) @ Flame Orb
Guts.
- Wild Charge
- Ice Fang
- Crunch
- Facade
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Sp.Atk/ 4 HP
Jolly Nature.
I know you don't want to replace Luxray, but Luxray is honestly a terrible Pokemon to use on a team, and there are much better options than it. Another Pokemon that does the Guts sweeper role better is Conkeldurr, and it boasts priority in the form of Mach Punch. While Conkeldurr doesn't boast incredible coverage, Rock and Fighting is gets very good coverage. Here is the moveset

Conkeldurr Set said:
Conkeldurr @ Leftovers
EVs: 68 HP/ 224 Atk/ 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
-Bulk Up
-Drain Punch
-Mach Punch
-Stone Edge

Good luck with your team DiZ. Let me know how these changes work for you.

Ok. First of everything, thanks for your help. Babydoll remain the same. I'm not going to EV train again Jellybea, because I have a friggin' shiny Reuniclus! I'm not going to lose him. X-Scissor for U-Turn. Gotcha. I was thinking on use maybe Rock Smash on Scizor, because of Technician. I was thinking on change Focus Blast to Stone Edge. It has better coverage, but it let Hydreigon exposed to Skarmory and Bronzong. But I honestly like EQ. You have reason with E.B. Gotcha. Comet-tail is other one not being replaced. I forgot to put it here, but is a friggin' DW shiny! And Female! I have a Conkeldurr with Guts, and I've used it, but I don't like it that much.

Thank you again.

DiZ.

No Rock Smash on Scizor, even with technician its quite weak, a pathetic 60 base power if I'm calculating it right. That makes it far inferior to Brick Break or Superpower. Also, do not put physical mvoes on Hydreigon, it's special attack is signifigantly better. Run max sp. atk+speed and 4 of Surf/Flamethrower/Focus Blast/Draco Meteor/Dragon Pulse or maybe Dark Pulse.

I'm not going to use Surf. I will put Superpower on Scizor. I'm not going to take off Dark Pulse of Hydreigon. Or EQ.

DiZ.

Earthquake on Hydreigon is unnecessary. You are better off running Surf or Focus Blast. This way you can max out SPA and SPE, which you will greatly appreciate. The only coverage EQ gets is against Heatran because it's the only thing that isn't hurt by Flamethrower and Draco Meteor.
You'll also find yourself losing a lot if you just have Pokemon on your team because they're your favorites, like Luxray, who is pretty bad. You have much better options for an Electric type in what TPO3 mentioned earlier and Rotom-Wash.

I used Rotom-Wash and it just didn't worked for me. Luxray is decent, if you know how to use it. Ok, I will use Focus Blast over EQ.

DiZ.

Luxray is outclassed by multiple Pokemon including, but not limited to Zapdos, Thundurus, and Manectric though Manectric is not that common. If you are determined to use Luxray, then use Toxic Orb since Luxray doesn't have Guts.

DiZ.

Dude, we are trying to give you advice. You can't become better if you make a thread asking people to rate your team and then refuse most of the help people are giving you. If you don't want to change something, then EXPLAIN why the past option is better than what they suggest. If you can't Do that. Then you should replace it.

And seriously, the only place Luxray even deserves to exist in is RU or NU. Seriously, there are soooooo many other better Electric types out there. If you can't accept that Luxray is bad, then you are going to end up with 1 near-useless Pokemon on your team, which puts you at a direct disadvantage even before Turn1 starts. You can't expect to be good wihtout using good Pokemon. Sure you'll get the occasional win, but against anyone that is even mildly into the game you are most likely to lose.

Luxray has Guts. Ok. I'm thinking of changing her. What Pokémon can I use instead of Luxray?

EDIT: I'm thinking of using Magnezone. Any good sets?

DiZ

Yeah try this.

Magnezone: Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
Nature: Timid/Modest
EV's: 252 Sp. Atk/ 252 Spd/ 4 DEF
Attacks:
~Thunderbolt/Discharge
~HP Ground/HP Fire
~Flash Cannon
~Volt Switch

This set mainly lets you abuse Magnezones great Special Attack and the ability Magnet Pull to allow you to trap pokemon like Scizor, Forretress and Ferrothorn. While other Magnezone can trap this Volt Switch cures that problem. Discharge is an option since you have a good paralyze percentage. The HP options are striclly priority based on if you want Magnezone and Heatran counter or Scizor, Forretress and Ferrothorn counter.

I have used this set before and it works wonders in my Stall Team. I hope this works for you.

The HP type is based on IV's. HP Fire is 31 HP, 30 ATK, 31 DEF, 30 Speed, 30 Sp. Atk and 31 Sp. Def. HP Ground is 31 HP, 31 ATK, 31 DEF, 31 Speed, 30 Sp. Atk and 30 Sp. Def.

I also may have an idea for your Gliscor. While my Gliscor (Blue Demon) is a fave of mine I tend to run it like this.

Gliscor (Blue Demon): M-Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
Nature: Jolly
EV's: 252 ATK/ 4 DEF/ 252 Speed
Attacks:
~Taunt/Swords Dance
~Earthquake
~Roost
~U-Turn/Stealth Rock

This Gliscor is my fave Stall Breaker. Unlike the other Stall versions I put most of the focus into being a Taunter and Scouter. It works wonders with Sandstorm and works very well without it too. Other options include using Bright Powder but its very uncommon and the only person who I've seen use it is LRM.

Like I said I don't use it. Then again I haven't used Gliscor for a long time. LRM may know more then me on the matter of banned items. Also I think Volt Switch allows you to switch out even after Block and Mean Look.

As good as Britscor used to be, it is just outclassed by poison heal now. Poison heal is waaaaaaay better than Roost ever was, especially with protect. I would go with the set bippa suggested earlier:

Gliscor@Toxic Orb
Impish
252 HP/184 Def/72 Spe
~earthquake
~Ice Fang
~Swords Dance/Protect
~Taint/Sub

UnfortunAtely, you cannot use Stealth Rock and Poison Heal on the same Gliscor, but the extra recovery, and ability to sweep outweighs this. If you run Sub and Protect, you should run more speed, since it allows you to outstall Wash Rotom's Hydro Pump.

I currently have on my team a Eviolite Porygon2 instead of Magnezone. Here is the set:

Porygon2 @Eviolite.
Trace
- Magic Coat
- Recover
- Ice Beam
- Discharge
EVs: 128 HP/ 224 Def/ 154 Sp.Def
Bold Nature

This one is surprisingly bulky. It can take major hits, and some tries to hazards or status with Magic Coat, if I predict correctly. It has the popular Bolt/Beam combo. And Recover is pretty obvious. It has great coverage.

EDIT: Added the ability. I forgot it. *facepalms*
