What do you think?

Thanks!
I had tried skecthing on paint in the past but I was no good.
I had made a growlithe Pre-Evo(just erased and recolored) before but aside from that I have no experience what so ever.
This took me about 1 hour & 20 minutes to do using GIMP.

I always use Paint for any type of spriting, but I have seen some people use GIMP before...

Paint is simple, as you can just go pixel-by-pixel very easily. However, this is quite a nice sprite! But what's up with all the random space around it? ._.

It means its transparent ^_^
Very good for a 1st.
I suggest reading some guides now ^_^

I just noticed...
You need to make the outline of the sprite colored in a darker shade of the pokemon's color where the light hits it...

Thanks for the advice.
Squirtli I need spriters for azure version. Are you interested?

You're shading by the lines. That's called "pillow shading"(although you don't pillow shade pillows, either). The light should be where you can see it hitting, which means that it often doesn't go to the edge.
