This is my first UU team, so don't shoot it down XD. I had no idea what I was doing before I tested this on PO, and so far I have had moderate results. Welp, onto the team!
Omastar
Ability - Shell Armor
Bold Nature @ Red Card
EV's:
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Sp.Atk
Moveset:
Stealth Rock
Spikes
Scald
Ice Beam
As you can see, he is a hazard setter, rather than the typical Special Sweeper. I use him mainly for the Defense stat he so greatly bolsters in order to set up against most of the physical Pokemon in the tier.
With a bunch of useful resistances, Omastar can set up on virtually any opponent that isn't a Grass lead. And even if a grass lead is used, Red Card prevents them from setting up on Omastar. Even Electric types can have some issues against Omastar.
Blastoise
Ability - Torrent
Relaxed Nature @ Leftovers
EV's:
252 HP / 252 Def/ 4 Sp.Def
Move Set
Rapid Spin
Scald
Toxic
Dragon Tail
Now what team is complete without a Spinner/Phazer? UU is infamous for hazards, and set up Pokemon (as I have seen so far), so why not use Blastoise. Blastoise is arguably the best one in the tier, only above Cryogonal.
The only thing Cryogonal has on it is Speed. But this is okay, as I can get him out of there by using Dragon Tail, along with other set up Pokemon. Scald is for the burn, and Toxic decidedly helps cripple the opposing team with the use of Dragon Tail. The EV spread allows me to again tank anything that isn't an Electric or Grass type with ease. You're also probably noticing a weakness to these two types. But I'll get on to that later.
Snorlax
Ability - Thick Fat
Careful Nature @ Leftovers
EV's:
144 HP / 188 Def / 176 Sp.Def
Move Set:
Curse
Body Slam
Crunch
Rest.
You've likely noticed that this is looking like a mono-gen team. Well. It isn't but you'll see that later. CurseLax. The King of GSC OU. Anyone who doesn't take Snorlax into account as a good Pokemon are wrong. With 2 Curse Boosts, Snorlax is a force to be reckoned with. Body Slam takes down most Pokemon that don't resist it (Rather than Return). I also have Crunch for those pesky Ghost types in the tier. Rest is obviously for recovery, seeing as Snorlax may not last long with all the fighting types in the tier.
Electivire
Ability - Motor Drive
Jolly Nature @ Choice Scarf
EV's
252 Spe / 252 Atk / 4 HP
Move Set
Wild Charge
Earthquake
Cross Chop
Ice Punch
Now you are probably wondering why Electivire is here. Well. For a revenge killer of course. Choice Scarf gives me that extra speed boost, while combined with Electivires terrifying base attack makes for a great revenge killing machine.
Earthquake is for hitting fire types. Hard. Chandelure is a prime target for such an attack. Wild Charge is for STAB, and hitting bulky water types, like opposing Blastoise hard. Cross Chop is for Togekiss, who usually laugh at other Pokemon for their lack of useful move pools and ways to take it down. Ice Punch is for Grass types, which I mentioned before.
Roserade
Ability - Natural Cure
Modest Nature @ Life Orb
EV's:
252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Move Set
Leaf Storm
Sludge Bomb
HP Fire
Synthesis
Now, the queen of UU enters once again. While Herracross is more popular than Roserade due to it gaining Moxie, I still say that Roserade is better. It dominates Herracross with HP Fire, as it can survive a hit or two with Synthesis. Sludge Bomb helps take out other Grass types who resist HP fire (and it's also a great STAB move). Leaf Storm is also for STAB, as it can rip other Pokemon apart with it's Life Orb.
As previously stated, Synthesis is for Recovery, I would much rather Roserade stay alive for a hit-and-run playstyle after I use Leaf Storm, seeing as the Sp.Atk stat takes quite a hit. So Synthesis and switch out is viable, especially when its affected by status.
Azelf
Ability - Levitate
Timid Nature @ Expert Belt
EV's
252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Sp.Def
Move Set:
U-turn
Psyhic
FireBlast
Grass Knot
The Being of Willpower. Or the counter to Fighting types. This is a sweeper set, similar to Roserade with a few exceptions. I need to set Azelf up with a Nasty Plot in order to do something. Roserade can just hit like a tank and not care, to a certain extent. Grass Knot and Fire Blast are for type coverage and can handle other Pokemon after my usual checks have gone down. Psychic is for STAB and Nasty Plot for set up.
Thanks for looking! And if you have advice feel free to share.
