Not really sure what to improve about the deck. Currently 12-1 with it in online testing and my only loss was to... Metagross. I do not know how I can better improve that matchup. I did not get set up in time to deal with Metagross and when I had an opening, I whiffed the energy needed to take out at least 1 Metagross to have somewhat of a fighting chance.

I think Super Rod could be useful in this deck but other than that, I'm not sure of any improvements? I just need to hope I set up quick.

I've been playing Gardevoir extensively and these are the changes I would make based off of my experience:

-1 Brigette
-3 Choice Band

+1 Diancie
+1 N
+1 Guzma
+1 Float Stone

I know running 2 Brigette sounds good just in case one is prized, but out of the 50-60 or so games I've played, Brigette has only been prized like twice. The second one is useless 99% of the time. I've also tried Choice Band and have found that the deck ramps up damage so quick that you don't really need them. Float Stones, on the other hand, are great in this deck for getting undesired Pokémon out of the active and for Guzma so I recommend 3.

I don't think one Diancie is enough. It's your preferred starter so running only one means you're going to have trouble starting with it. The other two spots that I added were used to thicken out your staple Supporters.

I hear you on the Diancie part but I'm not sure cutting all of the Choice Bands is necessary. It can be useful in hitting certain numbers. Also, I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to handle Metagross. You mention playing the deck extensively so I'd love insight into that. I plan to play this at my locals this week in preparation for some tournaments so I'm eager to find the right build. But Worlds ought to provide some insight on that, though I hate copying others lol.

The Metagross matchup is not fun. You're only hope is to set up faster than your opponent and hope luck is on your side. Metagross can struggle to get set up so if it has a slow start, you should be good. That's the only matchup that you really need to be concerned about. Greninja can give this deck a run for its money too because of the lack of energy it plays on the field. I know it's not ideal, but if Metagross is really popular I thought about running 2 Weakness Policy.

Yeah, 1-1 vs Greninja. First time I saw how it could demolish me. Honestly, I'm noticing the deck clunking a bit more the more i test it and it's kinda an issue as it makes a difference in winning and losing. I think Diancie should be played in 3's because it's the optimal starter for the deck and gets the evolutions going quick. As for the Octillery engine. Eh, it's useful for sure but I might attempt without it. It's a powerful deck either way but like any other stage 2 deck, it can be clunky at times. Trying to find the optimal build. Maybe someone from Worlds will provide that lol :)

Yeah, the biggest issue with Gardevoir is getting it set up. You either get Gardevoir out quick and dominate, or you struggle to find a rhythm.

You definitely need some kind of draw support. Oranguru is a solid option if you don't want to use Octillery and it takes up less deck space.

Yeah we'll definitely see some Gardevoir builds this weekend!

Yeah, so the lists aren't too out of what would be expected but still nothing that would provide an answer to Metagross. Hoping to outspeed them isn't really an answer because Gardevoir is a stage 2 deck itself and isn't really a fast starter itself. Metagross will see more play and there are no answers to it when it comes to Gardevoir. Sighs, idk what to do.
