BW/BW2 names for the other 5th gen pokemon

My ideas:

Shimama: Arbezap (Zebra backwards and zap) I saw "Zapra" on GameFAQs also.

Chiraamii: Chilmy. Simple. It's a romanization of it's japanese name. R=L in Japanese, so Chir would be Chil and the rest is just romanization by yours truly, a fan with no translation experience of knowledge whatsoever. :p

I like Zapra. Probably because I actually pronounce zebra "zeh bruh." But Chilmy, I don't think so... Umbreon isn't called Blacky, after all. {F}

Jigglychu, I really like Arbezap. That sounds awesome. Chilmy, sounds funny, but cute. Zapra is also awesome majora.

Electimortar, when I meant to do your research, I meant to look into the types of things that make a Pokemon name. Take Bulbasaur. Bulb, because he's a grass type, and has a bulb oh his back. Saur, because he resembles a monster, or dino*saur* if you will. That's what I meant.

I think it's hard to do that for normal types. For things like grass types, you can look at bulbasaur and say "He has a bulb. And he looks like a dinosaur. He's bulbasaur."

Now, let's see. What sticks out? I'd say Chiramii's tail. Alright, he has a big curved tail. And he's a chinchilla. Tailchilla? I don't think so... But I've never been good at naming pokemon. So.

fire ape: Apeflamer
normal chinchilla: Chinormilla
ground gator: Gatearth
steel gear: Gearsteel
flying pigeon: Pigefly

Ehh... I like Zapra better... Some others I found were Crocodune and Dharmape. I dunno about the others, but Gear could just be Gear. I wouldn't be surprised. {F}
 
EDIT: Some of these HAVE to be fixed...

Hihidaruma: Dharmape (since Mr. Majora wants it that way xB)
Shimama: Zapra (everybody knows about this one by now)
Mamepato: Purgeon (Sticking with this one X_x)
Meguroko: Crocodune (I was going to use this before, but I didn't like the sound of it at first..)
Chiraamii: Chinchappy (PokemonFreak's seems better)
Munna: Tapink or Sleepir (didn't know it was a tapir o=)
Gear: Still have no idea what to name this... thing.

I'm not so great with names. :<

Daru is Dhar, so it'd probably be Dharmape...
Zapra is amazing. =P
Purgeon? I couldn't do better, actually...

Gear would prolly be Gear. Unless they find something else... {F}

I think Gear, Zorua, and Zoroark, will keep Japanese names for English Names ^_^

Chiraamii~ Chinchappi (Chinchilla&a form of Happy)
Hihidaruma~ Gorrilflame (Gorrilla&Flame)
Shimama~ Zebarge (Zebra&Charge)
Mamepato~ Beakgeon (Beak&Pidgeon)
Meguroko~ Sandcodile (Sand&Crocodile)
Munna~ Dreamir (Dream&Tapir)
Gear~ Gear ( couldn't be more obvious :D )

Anyway, I like Slitheroot and Snivy equally. Both better than Smugleaf.

I like Wotter though. And burhog sounds more like you're saying it's a Burr Hog. And that's been done(Piloswine). {F}
 
Snivy is the best name I've heard for Tsutaja so far...
Smugleaf just sounds dumb, IMO. =/
Still wanting Pyroink or Magmoink for Pokabu's name. :3
Wotter sounds like a little kid struggling to say "otter". xD
 
Well that fits, because the watter starter looks like a little kid struggling to DRAW an otter. :p

I doubt they'll keep the name Gear.

And some of the fan names sound good, but every generations fans come up with great names and then Game Freak ignores them and thinks up awful ones instead.

Reason being is because what pokemon is named after what it is? You don't see a pokemon going "YELLOW ELECTRIC MOUUUSE"

It'll probably be "Mesh".
