First, I'd like to say I came up with the name here first, once this name catches on and everyone uses it, I said it first. 12/16/16

Anyways, this is my first deck list post on PokeBeach. Snorlax is the first GX card we have, so why not make a deck around it, since it's pretty decent. However, even if it does tons of damage, this deck is still horribly slow and inconsistent, but when you pull it off, it's incredibly rewarding. I tried other forms of energy acceleration, but none are as fast as magnezone, even if you have to get a stage 2 up. With other acceleration methods I've tried, I'd waste 2 or even 3 turns attaching and accelerating, but by that time my opponent could already ohko this monster. Then, once they'd ohko it was pretty much game over cuz I'd have to waste more turns powering up the next lax. Anyways here's the list:

Pokemon (16 Total, 10 Basic) :
  • Snorlax-GX x3
  • Magnemite (51/162) x3
  • Magneton x1
  • Magnezone x3 (Mag line all from Breakthrough)
  • Drowzee x2
  • Hypnox2
  • Shaymin-EX x2

Trainers (33 Total, 8 Supporters):
  • Professor Sycamore x3
  • N x2
  • Lysandre x2
  • Skyla x1

  • Energy Recycler x1
  • Level Ball x2
  • Max Potion x1
  • Rare Candy x3
  • Super Rod x1
  • Switch x2
  • Trainer Mail x4
  • Ultra Ball x3
  • VS Seeker x4
  • Fighting Fury Belt x3
  • Float Stone x1
Energy:
  • Lightning Energy x11

Strategy
  • Go First
  • Get magnemite/magnezone out before drowzee/hypno
  • Use trainer mail and skyla to get whatever you need to set up
  • This deck is pretty slow, so I figured I'd put a max potion in the mix just in case your zone gets hit. The max potion can also be used in tandem with energy recycler if you heal a snorlax with energies on it.
  • Put fighting fury belt on lax obviously. However, this meta is crazy where a lot of things can ohko a 230 HP pokemon so...
  • When you can't attack a turn, or if there's an annoying pokemon with a stupid attack effect like Jolteon-EX, put it to sleep and pray to god it doesn't wake up

Criticism and suggestions are obviously encouraged. Thanks

Heavy ball is also good because it can search Snorlax and Magnezone

I think that you might want to run 1 Olympia (from Generations), Item Lock decks can Lysandre a Magnezone that will be very difficult to retreat.
Of course, using the supporter for the turn is not optimal either- so you would still want some switch and float stone, so here are my suggestions:
-1 Switch
+1 Olympia
In my opinion this would be useful for getting Magnezones out of the active in Item Lock, but in that scenario you could not VS Seeker it.
