Strategy: Okay so I'm pretty much needing help with how to finish this deck. The pokemon are pretty much the only thing I have covered and even there I need help. Does anyone think they could give me some advice on what Trainer cards to use to make this deck effective? I also wanna use a legal deck for future play.

RE: Need Advice - Electric/Water Deck

Okay, no offense, but this deck NEEDS HELP. I will make a deck list, but first I need to know, who do you want to base this deck around, becaus yo are not almost covered with pokemon, I am sorry to tell you.

JEEZ I FEEL SO DUMB... But thank you for helping! Honestly I'm not even sure what I want to base it around, I suppose the move sets of the pokemon were what I was relying on.

I might try something like:

Pokemon:

  • 4 Manectric EX
    3 M Manectric EX
    2 Black Kyurem EX
    3 Kyurem (PLF)
    1 Suicune
3 Manectric Spirit Link. Jirachi if you want it. Maybe a Seismitoad. I don't know; don't have much experience with the deck.

Obviously include 4 Professor Juniper, 4 N, and at least 3 Ultra Ball because those are staples.

You have a lot of the pieces for M Manectric so that you are much more likely to draw into them and get it out so that you can Turbo Volt onto things. Black Kyurem is big attacker that can one shot almost everything while Plasma Kyurem is just a really good non EX attacker that can do a good bit of damage and soften up Megas for the one shot with Black Kyurem. Suicune is just plain annoying.

Pro tip. If you do include Suicune in your deck, keep in mind that you cannot Turbo Volt to it because of Safeguard.

Okay I like the idea with the Kyurems. Plus with the M Manectrics it'll really come in handy. Also didn't know about the Suicune thing... But thanks for the tips! The pokemon sound easy to get equip to, I just still don't know all the other Trainer cards that'll work with the deck.

Pokemon: (13)

  • 4 Manectric EX
    3 M Manectric EX
    2 Black Kyurem EX
    3 Kyurem (PLF)
    1 Suicune

  • 4 Professor Juniper
    4 N
    3 Skyla
    2 Colress
    2 Lysandre
    3 Manectric Spirit Link
    3 Switch
    3 Ultra Ball
    3 VS Seeker
1 Ace Spec (Probably Scramble Switch or Computer Search)
    1 Professor's Letter
Energy: (13)

  • 4 Lightning Energy
    9 Water Energy

This is a generic list I just threw together. You have 5 free spots. You could possibly top it off with things like Head Ringer, Energy Switch, Muscle Band, alternate attackers, counter Stadiums, or maybe another Lightning Energy.

For the remaining 5 do you think Seismitoad EX (or Jirachi), Head Ringer, Muscle Band, Energy Switch, and another Lightning energy would work? Or would 2 Energy Switches also work?

Some of those cards that I suggested, I meant in multiple counts. You could do two of either Head Ringer, Muscle Band, or Energy Switch and then Seismitoad or Jirachi. Or you could take out some other stuff to make room for more of the other stuff like 3 Energy Switch for example. Feel free to make changes to the sample list as you see fit.
