Strategy:

So I had this idea a few weeks ago, but just recently revisited it. The strategy here is to use Vileplume's Irritating Pollen to shut off all items, effectively sticking them in your opponent's hand. These trainer cards all sticking in your opponent's hand make Rotom PLS do a ton of damage. Rotom does 20 damage times the number of trainer cards in your opponent's hand. So all the items that stick there make Rotom to a lot of damage. Shaymin EX is there for draw, of course. There are a few inclusions that don't make a lot of sense at first glance, such as Trainers' Mail and Pokemon Communication. Here is the reasoning for the seemingly "odd inclusions". Trainers' Mail: Digs deeper for a turn 1 FoGP, Pokemon Communication: I can Level ball for a Rotom, Oddish, or Gloom and then Communication for a Vileplume or Shaymin EX. AZ: AZ may seem counterintuitive to some if it were used to pick up a Vileplume line. However, if FoGP were in play and Vileplume were picked up with AZ, you could get a full turn of items and then could replay your Vileplume line before your turn ends. Flash Energy: Flash Energy is used to remove Rotom's weakness so that Landorus EX can't OHKO it. I'm wanting to add in 1 Manectric EX and 1 Wide Lens so as to be able to OHKO Zubats on the bench because bats can hit this deck kinda hard. I look forward to the input and would love to play this deck at Regionals.

Thanks!

So far I think this is a great deck, and could take a lot of people by surprise. I think I know how you can fit in the Manectric and Wide Lens. In my opinion I would take out 2 of your pokemon searching cards, because 3 Level Ball, Ultra Ball, and Communication see like a bit much. Besides that I love the deck idea and might try it out myself. :D

So I've been playing with Manectric EX and Wide Lens on TCGOne. I don't think it's working out great, and it seems like Rotom has a hard time out speeding the opponent. Does anyone know of a way to get him powered up in one turn other then Eelektrik NVI?

I don't know how, but the idea should be that Vileplume slows them down so much, you don't need explosive starts that badly.

I love this deck idea!

Would miltank with powerful friends be a good optional attacker in this type of deck?

Hmm... That is interesting. I hadn't thought of using Miltank! I'd be easily utilized and god for the off chances that my opponent has no trainers. I'll have to try it out.

Thanks!

I kinda like the Colress Machine idea...
I think this deck also could really use a Keldeo EX, since you already run like 3 Float Stone, and no silent lab...

Interesting thought, but keep in mind: You have Vileplume. In other words, your opponent won't be able to play Laser.

(Or much anything else, for that matter, but that's beside the point. :p )

You might want to consider Shadow Triad so that you can recover Rotom from the Discard Pile without using an Item. Also, you might want to consider using Dimensional Valley and Mew EX, being able to use the attack for a single Lightning Energy on a bulkier Pokemon.

Shadow Triad would be a good option! If I ran Colress Machine and Plasma Energy with Shadow Triad, then that'd be even more for me to possibly recover. Mew would be a great option too, but I'd have to look at the effectiveness of running a split stadium line. Definitely something to consider, though! I'll get to testing it out as soon as possible!

Thanks,
