I'm starting a new section of my card shop. I'll be selling pokemon TCG TFG and other pokemon accessories. My Question is:
Where does a shop owner get cards, trading figures,and plush toys from to sell? I get my sports cards from a local supplier, but they don't sell pokemon, and i need into this market. Thanks in advance for your input.
 
I don't want anything from you (comb-whatever it was), but have you looked into buying directly from PUSA? I'd imagine they offer them to retailers like yourself.
 
If your going to be small local shop, you could try Ebay and just buy booster boxes, and sell individual booster packs ... unless you actually expect to making a lot of sales, in which case you would want a wholesale price, which I have no idea where to find. I wouldn't start with that large of an investment into pokemon though, try it with like 1-2 booster boxes first, and see how long it takes to clear out ...
 
Okay it depends where you live.You probably live in America, and in that case I hear you can get them from loads fof stores (I wouldnt know, I live in England).
If you want to buy online and stuff, you can get loads of japanese cards that are dirt cheap to sell, but now that they have made it so you can only use English cards in English speaking places, you might barely make a profit.
 
well a few of the distributors in America are Diamond Distribution or Potomac(potomacdist.com). Or you can also try a comic book vendor/distributor.
 
My league store clerk gets them from pokemon U.S.A wholesale. You get them pretty cheap if you buy in bulk (40-60 if you buy a lot). I think it's kind of funny, one of my friends buys boxes for 63.00 at our league (70.00+ 10.00 league night discount), and sells them for 80-90 on ebay. If you are a "bulk" store, and sell stuff ant "full price", you can do that.
 
Juliacoolo wheres your league? $63 for a box sounds really NICE ... like wow, that's a great deal. Are you in the states?

"If you build it, they will come."
I've been asking lou how to get a league started. I figure at this point i may as well go all the way and sell it too.
