I just recently got into tcg again, havn't played since 03 lol.. but anyway I bought a Serperior Starter deck and 3 booster packs.. got a Reshiram, Serperior w/ Ability, and another Sawbuck :S
Here are the pokemons I have

Deerling x 3
sawbuck x2
Pansage x3
Simisage x2
Munna x 2
Musharma x1
Veniepede x 3
Whirlipede x 2
Scolipede x2
Snivy x 4
Servine x 3
Serperior x 2 ( have another spare)
 
I don't have the time to write you a full decklist, but an easy way to get lots of good trainers is to go online.

You can get a good 20-30 trainers online for less than $20.

I prefer trollandtoad. You would be looking at (for cheapness):

4 Dual Ball
4 Professor Oak's New Theory
4 Junk Arm
4 Sages Training
2 more Pokemon Communication

And then, if you feel like it,
2 more serperior with ability.

If you want, you can then buy rare candy and stuff. but mainly those ones above are cheap, and help a deck tremendously.
 
Since this deck does not have 50+ cards in it, this thread belongs in the Player's Sandbox forum. So, please add the scans of the deck's main Pokemon into the first post.

trollandtoad.com is the cheapest i've found for 'cheap' stuff like trainers, but you might need to look around on other sites like professor-oak.com collectorscache.com for better deals.
