New English set

Okay, to the original question, I think we'll be seeing the next set this July. Why? For a number of reasons:

• We're going to get packs the same time as Japan. That way, we get new sets at the same time, and in the future, Japanese and American sets might even be released at the same time.

• The sets don't interfere with Worlds. That way, we can have the cards to play at worlds.

Just typical outside-of-the-box thinking by Decmaster! ^_^

I'm almost 100% certian that there is at least some element of truth to this.

I think worlds will be HG-SSon, because that is what Japan is playing. ATM, I think America is one of the only places actually playing MD->BW; europe is playing MD-CoL, Australia and the surrounding areas are playing MD-CoL, Japan is playing HGSS-On...



And secondly, I think that when the format becomes the same, the sets will be released much closer to each other so that there is less time between the release of sets from japan to US; so the Japanese don't get too far ahead.

I agree with Jahikoi; they are really trying to look like less of a bunch of rednecks right now and actually catch up the the game the devs designed. This may mean an early set release, though I do suspect we're going to get some pretty lousy sets in the near future. I hope they stick to the formula of no exclusive secret rares this block though (except the pikachu) and release normal holo versions of the genies. I definitely think with the biggest rotation since the original Modified fiasco we do need to expand our card pool quickly. Let's hope for a late July/early August release of BW2!

^none of the sets so far have been really "useless" they always have SOMETHING that brings something new to the meta. its just some do more than others. example is HGSS then we get unleashed. HGSS brought us all the staples and some good primes (feraligatr, typhlosion, ampharos, donphan and not to mention AWESOME energies.) then we got unleashed with next to nothing good in it. the primes were ok and there wernt many staples. but we got blastgatr from it which is a top contender for BDIF. we always get something and people already are chomping at the bit to get the chandelure for there spread decks...
