Since we now have a forum for people to say hello if theyv'e just joined, don't you think it would be appropriate to have one for goodbyes?
 
That sounds like a good idea actually, why don't you post a poll for this?

Some people have left for personal reasons, obligations, or any other confllictions. It seems right to have it.

Most people who leave don't really say goodbye, unless they're well known here, and everyone knows them. I don't really see much of a use for it, but it could be worth a try.
 
I think that would be a good idea. But as KG said They ALWAYS come back so it guess if we did make a forum then you have to promise not to come back.
 
^No, peopel just leaving deserve to say good bye, whether they come back later on or not. Letting peoepl say a good and proper goodbye to fellow beachers would resolve some previous problems we've had here.

But goodbye threads are not allowed in the first place.
 
THey aren't allowed because they spam up the site discussion, but if we modified the hellos forum to a hellos and ogddbyes, it wouldn't be psamming it up.
 
Well they either "leave" and come back, or leave because they got banned etc usually. There is no need of spamming and saying "I am leaving PB" when you are just gonna change your mind and come back the next day anyways. I mean if they have been going to beach for a long time, why would they just up and leave unless it was a serious, serious thing.

And that usually involves bans because nothing ever super serious that would make somebody want to never come back here again after going here for years. So I don't think it is a big deal, welcome threads are ok, because who is gonna leave the same day they join? So goodbye threads seem pretty pointless, a lot more pointless than welcome threads.

Agreed. There really isn't much of a point or use for a goodbye forum.

Not really. Half the people on my friend list have not been around since 2006.:)
