Pokemon New idea for Pokemon game

Honestly, I find the pokemon's style pretty cute and I like seeing the pixels and stuff. However, this idea has been introduced over and over and I can't say that I wouldn't look forward to a game like this. Another feature I would like to see is the ability to design your own character. You know, since not all of us are super cool about hats and stuff.

That'd be too difficult to implement.

Event islands say hi. Although DLC similar in size to the Battle Zone would be awesome, though.
I was thinking more along the lines of optional dungeons with Pokemon you can't normally get on the mainland, or areas for special contests/ tournaments.

Are you referring to character customization? If so, then that's so simple it's a wonder why it's not already in part of the games. Heck, I know how to do that.

Right, that's not too far off from "Battle Zone-esque" DLC which is what I was suggesting.

How about carrying over the features of the poke walker to streetpass? I suppose the major difference would be that connections would be automatic, rather than initiated.

How 'bout "Pokemon World", the first real Pokemon MMORPG. You find and catch Pokemon, battle trainers, and complete quests in a fully interactive 3D world, communicating and chatting with hundreds, if not thousands, of players who are online at the same time. It'll essentially be a mix of WoW, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, and the upcoming Elder Scrolls: Online. You can fully customize your trainer's appearance, from clothing and accessories to age and hair/facial hair styles. By completing quests, you can unlock more clothes, more items, and don't forget the main theme, Pokemon.

Super Smash Pokemon Brawl. Every pokemon, gain experience, evolve, learn 4 special moves (moves in the game) while having 4 "basic moves" (grabbing, kicking, punching, spinning, whatever), KOs are acquired by knocking the opponent out of the stage. Basically, brawl crossed with Pokemon. Gym leader battles, battles with other trainers, the wild, outside the battle the game would be the way it looks in XD Gale of Darkness. I mean, that would be /)^3^(\ SO AWESOME!
Just imagine.

I want an open world pokemon game. Like The Elder Scrolls cross with Pokemon. I would be the first person to pre-order.

IIRC, there's a fangame similar to Street Fighter out there somewhere.

I thought of something more or less identical like this except for a few differences. One. Realistic looking Pokémon. Two. It's a multi-platformer, so you aren't stuck with Nintendo graphics. Pokémon. On a Playstation. Doesn't that just make you wanna go buckwild? Three. You can legitimately fly rather than just select a Pokémon and select fly. You can actually fly around all five regions. Four. It would include updates to the game adding new gym leaders, Pokémon, etc. Five. Mew would be in the game and you could trade between games so you can legitimately capture Mew.

Wish granted.

Game Freak is very much affiliated with Nintendo, so this will never happen in a million years. And no, I don't care about not having "Nintendo graphics". Graphics are superficial, what matters most is gameplay, and that's something I can usually count on Nintendo games to deliver.

I don't quite understand what you mean.

No, there's not nearly enough space for that much content. One, maybe two regions at most, but definitely not more than that.

You mean like DLC? This is the one good suggestion you've made. I'd love to see Nintendo take event areas to the next level by making them legitimate DLC, complete with much larger and more fleshed out areas (maybe something roughly the size of Sinnoh's Battle Zone), new Pokemon previously uncatchable in that game, and maybe even a short storyline. It'd be much better than some lonely island in the middle of nowhere that just has the event Pokemon and nothing else. I mean, look at Liberty Garden, that place has a lot of potential to be a really neat tower dungeon, what with an actual lookout point that is sadly unreachable, but all it is is a random island with a "secret" entrance down to the basement where you catch Victini (or in BW2, you can trigger a minor "event" where Victini remembers what took place there in BW1). Imagine instead if were like Radio Tower/Glitter Lighthouse, you go in, climb your way to the top fighting off Team Plasma grunts, and then when you get to the top, you find that Victini isn't there. So then when you go back down the tower, you find there's a secret entrance to the basement where Victini is. But before you can capture it, you need to fight off one of the Team Plasma bosses, maybe N, maybe Ghetsis, maybe one of the other sages. And then once you beat him, you can catch Victini like usual. That'd be a huge step up from what we usually get, but what I'm saying, is take something like that, expand it into a mini storyline, and add new cities, routes, wild Pokemon, and trainers into the mix. I'd love for them to do something like that, it'd be a great way to extend the life of their games and fit more Pokemon into one generation without having to resort to third versions and remakes and stuff.

The current event system really isn't that bad unless you don't live in the U.S., Europe, Australia, or Japan, or if you don't have Wi-Fi or something. I find the events to be pretty reasonable (except for the part where we haven't been getting much of any lately), as long as you keep up with them you should be fine. And if not, that's what trade forums are for.

When I said "You can legitimately fly", I meant like actually control the flight rather then just selecting options in a menu.

They'd have to limit where you can land with that, and I'm not sure it would work out well. I don't think Fly in its current state should be an HM, though.

I dunno. If you can't use Fly as an HM, I don't really see how you could further your progress without it taking forever. But I reconsidered and I guess that the graphics don't matter, but the limitations. Essentially, I want a buffed XD without the shadow Pokémon and you can actually capture Pokémon without the "A wild ________ appeared!" You can actually SEE the Pokémon. No surprises. And you can actually run away rather than being thrown into a battle and then getting hammered by Arena Trap.

No, I mean downgrade it to a TM, there's no point in having it an HM since it's not necessary to progress

That'd be pretty good, as long as it's fully explorable like the main series games are supposed to be. I don't want the region to be like Orre where it's a bunch of disconnected areas with no routes or anything. I also don't want it to be like Unova where it's almost completely linear from start to finish. And the wild Pokemon textbox is necessary since not everyone can recognize Pokemon instantly.

Well what would you replace Fly with? Because Whirlpool, Dive, and Flash all suck. And the textbox should be optional thing. But also, it would be awesome if they also made updates and DLC (free) for gen 6 and whatnot and if they COULD, then save it for a new system with more capabilities like the Wii 2 or something.

Dive itself does not suck, just the way it was implemented in BW. RSE Dive was god tier. And Whirlpool is actually pretty interesting in its current iteration, only because using it only allows you to cross the whirlpool to the other side as opposed to in GSC where it simply removed the Whirlpool. The way it was done in HGSS would be useful for surfing mazes, since it will not allow you to go left or right of it (assuming you approach it from the top or bottom), only to the other side. As for which HMs should be used, maybe something like this:

Cut
Surf
Strength
Waterfall
Dive
Whirlpool

And maybe some new ones. I was going to say Rock Climb as well, but it'd be more interesting if instead they brought back the Acro Bike, which does the same thing plus more. Speaking of which, you know what would be awesome? Having the bike be upgradable. I mean think about it, that'd be another good way to add to the exploration factor, by allowing the bike extra abilities as you progress. Maybe it'd be something like this:

Normal Bike:
- increases running speed
-some other benefit I can't think of

Mach Bike:
-further increases speed
-allows you to bike up sandy slopes
-allows you to bike across collapsing floors
-can launch off small ramps at top speed

Acro Bike:
-allows you to perform bunny hops across small gaps
-allows you to bunny hop off ramps for greater distance than the Mach Bike
-allows you to bike across narrow walkways
-allows you to hop up rocky cliffs

And you can switch between them by switching gears like in DPPt. Maybe there could be another bike upgrade or two, but I can't think of any good ones ATM.

That would be pretty sweet. I have been mentally nashville hot chicken blocked because I lost Soul Silver. I hate my life. XD I lost like EVERYTHING from Ruby, and all my progress on Soul Silver. I had almost the whole Pokédex filled. TT_TT I just needed to beat Red and I had the game finished...

At some point in the franchise (maybe not Gen 6, could be later) I'd like to see them bring more differences between the versions beyond the differing Pokemon (though the areas in BW and the other added goodies in B2W2 are a good start).

Maybe tell the events of a gen's story from two established characters and you'd need to play both versions to get the whole story. After reading PokeSpe for some time now, I'm a little tired of the game characters being mute as we play as them.
