The second event has started for Pokemon TCG Pocket, named the “Lapras ex Drop Event!” You can battle against four Lapras / Lapras ex decks of increasing difficulties, just like Solo Battles. The event runs from November 5th to 18th.
Each time you win against one of the decks, you will have a 51% to 100% chance of getting a “Promo Pack A Series Vol. 1″ booster pack. It will come with one of five promo cards, shown below. You can claim the pack from the “Gifts” menu.
Mankey and Lapras ex are brand new. The rest are alternate art reprints from Genetic Apex. All of them have stamps.

Lapras is nowhere near Articuno in terms of power, but now I'm wondering if there's going to be any communication between the developers and the players, or will it be the same radio static we get in regular TCG.
 
I love the fact that they are introducing alternate art versions of already existing cards, but I gotta say, giving the cards different stats or abilities for battles is especially cool. (Thus far they only gave Mankey that treatment)
 
If fight had a better acceleration engine than brock, and psychic wasn't tier S, primeape could be a good archetype with that mankey
 
The new events seam really fun and exciting, it helps pocket keep players hooked & happy...
 
At least give us 1 of each per pack then just give randoms i've already gotten so many Pikachu's, just release the "Trade feature" already so i can trade em for better things. XD
 
I think I just figured something out from TCG pocket, mayhaps gamefreak is giving us hints about some new megas. I mean, a majority of megas are from gen 1, and the main set seems to have exs from gen 1 mons, specifically mons with megas already, being the starters, mewtwo, and gengar. Pikachu is a mascot, and the legendary birds already have regional forms, so they wouldn't get any, but that would leave lapras, machamp, marowak, wigglytuff, arcanine, and exeggutor left, and none of them have megas, so, maybe? Idk i feel like it might be a subtle hint to it but it could be reaching. Personally, out of these mons, lapras machamp and arcanine seem like likely candidates but i guess we'll wait and see, what do y'all think?

Oooo forgot starmie is also in this and I mean, mega starmie makes sense as a candidate for a new trainer art with misty since pokemons capitalizing on those
 
If you manage to get 2 of every card in the event, is it worth saving the event stamina incase they add more event cards? Or do you guys just use it to get more doubles of the current event cards?
