I'm confused as to the point of this really, when Lucario EX and Manectric EX are already out of rotation. I guess because they never got full art megas in the first place? Still seems silly to me. Like having the shiny Mega Gengar promo with no Gengar EX in Standard format. Seems other people already addressed this point.
The full art Jolteon is sweeeet though, I was saying for ages I wish it had a full art (it looked silly being the only non-FA cards in my Lightning-Ray deck).

True, but that means I could Mega Evolve Jolteon into Manectric. SWEET!

I'm super excited that this means the FA Shaymin alt will most likely be a promo and much cheaper to buy. Fingers crossed.

Eeh, don't give up hope just yet, these alternate prints make it a lot more likely that all of the BoXY cards are going to somehow be released.
Price?
They're doing this so they don't have BW/XY layout cards in SM promo sets, and so that when they rotate everything from the XY era (so all XY Black Star Promos and all sets before SM) back in a year or two, they don't have lingering XY promos still legal.
That said it is odd that Lucario Spirit Link is standard Legal but not Lucario EX or the Mega.
Retails 49.99 collector's Cache has it for 39.99 and My local Toys R Us has it for 69.99 -_-
Too little, too late to give Lucario a Spirit Link card.
