New Pokemon Type?

They shouldn't really diverse the types but make 2 type pokemon and not the ones from DS and such but actual correct types, Torterra Grass/Fighting, Infernape Fire/Fighting, Empoleon Water/Steel.....Lucario Fighting/Steel, Quagsire Fighting/Water and so on.

Again, this just makes it harder to build a deck. Adding more types, while cutting current types, is not a good idea. Example.
Kid 1: I need to build a deck. I have a Froslass and a Quagsire, are they okay?
Kid 2: Sure, at least they're the same type.
Ken: Now Pokemon have Double types and Ice, ghost, flying, poison and rock/ground pokemon are now those types.
Kid 2: Well so much for that. Know you have an Ice/Ghost and a Water/Ground. That won't work.

Bad example I know but same general idea.

I am not saying add more types I am saying combine types from the current energy format we have now. For example, just imagine that the Torterra and Torterra lv.X were Grass/Fighting instead of just grass, dont change anything else about them same attacks and weaknesses and such giving it an extra type can improve its type advantages during play and building a deck would not be too difficult as long as the attack energy cost isnt to diverse. I am not saying add all these other types like Ice and Ghost, I agree with you that its just to diverse for the way game plays. But if they tried out the idea of mixing types like my torterra example, I believe it could work.

My example was both. Even just mixing types, that'd be a Water/Psy and Water/Fight. Meaning a deck with 1 energy type just became a deck with 3.

Yes the pokemon types have diversed, but how would a Starmie/Quagsire deck be difficult to make if the attacks require water and colorless energies as costs?

That's based on your own assumption that they would do that, but it wouldn't happen. And that is what he's saying.

I think there are enough dragons to be claimed as a different type. Dragon basic energies would be way cool.

Well besides a pure Flying type (perhaps a pre-evolved form of Swablu or an Eeveelution?) I have thought that a Light type might make a good, 18th energy. It would naturally be strong against both Dark and Ghost types, possibly even against Psychic as well, but it would be weak against Grass, Fire and Electric types. Thoughts?
