New Shedinja Deck

I think a fun deck to play in the future would be the new Shedinja from Emerald break* and the Flashfire Floette with Flower Viel. For a single energy, as long as you have 40-50 damage and a few Floettes out, you can do 250 damage. The only problem is I don't know what card to play that could do damage to Sheninja, Maybe frozen city? I don't know how competitive this would be, but I think it would be fun. In expanded you could even run the Cast-off shell Ninjask to get Shedinjas out faster.

Shedinja - Grass - HP30
Stage 1 - Evolves from Nincada

[G] Curse Rain: Put 1 damage counter on each of your opponent’s Pokemon. Then, switch this Pokemon with 1 of your Benched Pokemon.
[C] Transient Cry: 50x damage. This attack does 50 damage times the number of damage counters on this Pokemon.

Weakness: none
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

RE: New Shedninja Deck?

You could use Team Magma Secret Base instead of Frozen City. It's a cool idea and will be a fun rogue deck. In terms of competitive play it probably won't fair well against most decks (megas, bats, Landorus, Garb, etc.).

Yeah I think a combination of Frozen City and Rainbow Energy could work well. By just attaching a Rainbow Energy with Frozen City up, you add 3 damage counters, allowing Shedinja to hit for 150. slap on a Muscle Band and you're hitting 170 for 1 energy.

Shedinja has HP 30. This means Rainbow Energy and Frozen City combined would knock it out before it would be able to attack.

RE: New Shedninja Deck?

I think the main flaw and funniest part of all of this is that Shedninja is a 30 HP stage one. I laughed at first when I saw it.

Right, however, as OP mentioned, you would be running Floette FF to increase Shedinja's HP.

Silent Lab to stop Wobbuffet.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing about Rainbow/Frozen City.

What does Team Magma Secret Base do?

What does Team Magma Secret Base do?
Team Magma’s Hideout – Trainer
Stadium

Whenever a Basic Pokemon without Team Magma in its name is placed on either player’s Bench, place 2 damage counters on that Pokemon.

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can’t play this card.

Frozen City may be more useful simply because it gets damage on your opponents field but Team Magma's Hideout is something to consider.

I'll probably make a deck list of both and try them out. I can't wait for the new set now!

I personally like the idea of this deck. You can even run Training Center for +30 more HP.

That was my original idea but then i can only damage myself with rainbow for 10 while frozen city or magma base help damage faster

RE: New Shedinja Deck?

Dugtrio (XY) might be a good way to damage yourself for one energy. Another option is Seismitoad EX's Grenande Hammer (but only if you're playing HP Boosters).

For Shedinja, you could combo it with Mew EX and Dimension Valley. This gives you a 120HP Pokemon that can attack for free.

Oh I did not think of that mew ex combo. I may actually like that better, only problem is that mew gives two prize cards, but I think it will be able to set up fast. I also think I would still run frozen city/magma base because I think that is an easier way to set up. And if I run rainbow energy I could probably have more than one attacker.

RE: New Shedinja Deck?

I was thinking about a strategy like this too, expect I would use a team plasma badge on the Shedinja with Umbreons on the bench. This could boost Shedinja up to 140 hp with training center, now add a Seismitoad EX and a few rainbow energies, now you got Shedinjas that can deal up to 650 damage, if that's not op idk what is. The only weakness to this set up would be banette but I guess running a few mews would negate that.

I think this idea may be the best one. I can see it working, and you probably won't even need Dimension Valley.

Shame that they'll only get like 2 months together at max.

RE: New Shedinja Deck?

I think the best combos would be dugtrio/ Floete/ Shedninja/ Lucario EX/ training center. Dugtrio to get damage on shedninja, training center and floete to increase shedninjas hp, Lucario EX as a big EX attacker that could also help set up. The deck could be clunky but I think it would be interesting.

RE: New Shedinja Deck?

In this meta, it is best to limit the uses of EXs in decks. If you don't need an EX to function, or to do the damage, then don't put it in. The main point about this deck is prize denial while hitting high numbers.

RE: New Shedinja Deck?

It was just a thought. Could still be good if you dont focus the deck around lucario EX.
