Yeah... Don't know what's with the spiky, bedraggled shorts on the girl. She looks otherwise good.
I agree with the OP about the complimentary colors on the male looking nice. This is a major improvement from Lucas, who had no sense of style.
I hope Ash gets older in the anime, even though I've long stopped watching that.

i like the boys style better the girl dose have a aswome outfit too but i think ill go with the girl cus iv always piked the spiret of my gender the boy looks like a little like red on my optaion and the girl is a nice touch we have had a lot of girls that lookd kinds freaky like lyra aka kotona well iv only seen picks ill pike witch won ill choos when i get whe game who knows with won ill choos i might even choos the boy
The girl looks good as well as the boy. I am not sure sure about the boy sprite, I think they could've done better.

First off, if they made Ash the age he would be chronologically, he'd be over 20. I really, REALLY doubt they'd let the how get to where the main character isn't even a teenager anymore. I think the only way they could do tha would be if Ash 'retired,' so to speak, and there was a new main character. Then Ash could take a supporting role (Like Brock is now) and the age-up wouldn't be too bad.
Second, Ash being in Black and White at all is rather unlikely. They make a point of emphasizing how VERY far away this new region is. Granted, the anime's never really cared before, but I would love for them to have a season that *gasp* DIDN'T involve Ash as the MC. That would be the perfect opportunity for some off-screen character development. I personally think it would be awesome if Ash turned out to be B & W's E4 champion or something.
Third, Ash is sort of an icon, which is why I doubt they'll ever let him vanish completely. It's kinda like why they won't let Pikachu evolve. I'm thinking it's along the same lines. Ash getting older = Pikachu evolving. 99% not going to happen.
The new boy looks like you typical Poke-Hero, in that he's not really much different from the other boys, Red in particular. Yet despite the similarities, he's looking real cool. Love his hat, hair, and brown eyes. Love his bag too. ^^
The girl also meets my approval. Initially, I thought she was going to be a Dawn look-a-like, and while she does have more pink than I'd like, she still looks really hip and cool, and manages to stand out from the rest of the Poke-Girls quite well.
I'm loving the fact that the protagonists are no longer little kids, and yet they still capture the cool look as well as previous protagonists. I definitely like the Isshu trainers, and I will be choosing the girl to match my gender.

I like the girl's outfit, the "rips" in the shorts and her gigantic hair give her personality quirks. The boy, I have no problems with, but I like the girl's design.
