The Maxie and Archie in Team Rainbow Rocket are from a different world to their ORAS counterparts. I suppose Giovanni recruited them through the ultra wormholes.
Darn, so many alternative universes in Pokémon, I can't even keep track of them.
People complained that they weren't releasing enough information like two months ago and then they start revealing more info and people are complaining that they're spoiling too much. I think the marketing has been great. They released too much information too soon leading up to Sun and Moon. I'm glad they held back for a bit and started releasing more info closer to launch. Unlike Sun and Moon, where I felt like that they revealed the majority of the game way before it was released, I feel like they've released just enough info to get people hyped for USUM without revealing everything. You also have to look at the unrealistic expectations people have had for these games, treating them like they should be a brand new generation, with a bunch of new Pokemon and a completely new story. I think they're going above and beyond expectations. New UBs, a whole alternate story instead of the same one with slight differences like many third installments do, a completely different post-game. If none of that builds up hype for you then I don't know what will.
That wasn't a rumor, that was confirmed by Game Freak themselves. They've already started working on the next main series games for the Switch.
I can assume from the picture provided that after Lusamine had the whole Nihilego conundrum, the Aether Foundation disbanded and as a result, so did Team Skull. Guzma and Wicke are on the ground with the protagonist, which makes me think that they have now sided with them. However, it seems Faba might be the new "evil" representative of whats left of the Aether Foundation as he is up with Giovanni, Maxie, Ghetsis, etc. This game will certainly be an amazing follow-up to what felt like an incomplete game, and likely a definitive second favorite of mine only behind the Black and White / 2 games. I honestly can't wait any longer. I'm ridiculously hyped.

- Rainbow Rocket - So awesome! Old nemeses returns coming to the other dimension and players let use crush them again. I have to confirm. This is a post-game content. It's impossible to beat their team of Level 70+ Pokémon before you even become a champion. Level 70 is "Above the Champion" level. If you put these guys in the main story, what's there role in pursuing Necrozma? And again if you battle their Level 70 team in the main story, while yours are 50s, they just letting you become poor (being blacked out deducts your money) and wasting your resources reserved for E4.
- Island Scan - Just trade your Pokemon in SM to USUM and do your Masuda method to make them Alola and USUM-native. You just waste hours and hours to complete them.
- Battle Agency - a battle facility exclusive to Festival Plaza, makes similar to Battle Factory (I love Batt. Fact.) and chance to get competitive stuffs and bottle caps.
- Totem Stickers - I wanna Totem Mimikyu in my team!
- Legendary Pokemon - RR and able to catch ALL Legendary, it's the perfect feature for the last game in 3DS. Just bring the following: Scyther with Techician and teach it False Swipe, 300 Ultra Balls, Timer Balls, and Dusk Balls, because #NationalDexConfirmed and you have the privilege to catch them ALL, even though some are VEs. (I hate VEs). As I saw on serebii.net, Riding through Ultra Wormholes and entering them to encounter Legendaries, you'll be in the Time and Space travel pace.
- VGC '18 - VGC '18 has rules that allows some Legendary Pokemon to enter Tournaments and it must be Alola-native, and it must be National Dex. I am worried that Pokemon like Landorus, Cresselia, and Heatran will return.
As what I saw in my source, yoy just trade Totem Stickers in exchange for a Totem-sized Pokemon. So yeah, you can't able to catch them, but you can have them
I'm not saying there is no hype, I'm talking about the crafting of the hype. For too long all we knew was that the games just existed and then what special editions and bonuses were available. Took too long for the real exciting news to drop. It's a main series Pokemon game so it was always a guaranteed purchase from me.
Please tell me we'll be able to name them. I was so happy when we were allowed to name event Pokemon.

I'm actually not looking forward to the Rainbow Rocket thing - it doesn't really make sense. Like people earlier said, Archie and Maxie would NOT be working together. And of course, why would Cyrus let Giovanni boss him around if he comes from a universe where he's literally God. And wouldn't Archie and Maxie be dead in a universe where their plans succeeded, anyhow? Basically, it seems the only reason why these guys are all bowing down to Giovanni is because GENWUN.
Okay, after looking back, I noticed something. This is super minor, but why the heck is Heatran an Ultra Sun exclusive, and why is Regigigas an Ultra Moon exclusive? I am so confused. They aren't counterparts, and the Regi trio is available in both games. Is this a site error, or did they just make a decision that really didn't make sense? I cannot see a scenario where this is a logical choice, and it's bothering me a lot now that I noticed it.

While you are right, I don't think it works like that. I too heard somewhere that the inclusion of a casino (that's actually named a casino with actual gambling addicts in it, remember the old man in Red/Blue) is not approved for a kids game anymore. Just as the drunk man lying on the road and a Pokemon (Marowak) being murdered will never be back. Times do have changed even for Pokemon games. We now have a smiling Rotom dex that tells you where to go (stupid).. But that's completely off-topic.
