It'd be awesome if we got together some people and had a Redshark tournament and played some old decks against the current ones to see how they fare.

I mean seriously, who doesn't wanna see Rock Lock take on Kingdra, AMU, etc. We could even have the old GG/PLOX (with DRE and Scramble) against Kingdra and stuff. First, we can make a list of which decks are acheptype-ish for their respective formats:

It's a shame the cards have scaled up in HP/Damage, the OLD cards(No, ex cards aren't old) don't stand a chance any more.
 
You guys are thinking of old archetypes, but what about all the great comboes that would pop up with that many cards? Remember the Dark/Metal Pokemon that had great attacks that were useless because of the lack of consistent energies?
 
HL-EM (er, do you actually mean HL-HP?) had a load of viable decks like:
Mewtric (if it was HL-HP) (Manectric Ex + Mew Ex)
Dragtrode (Dark Dragonite + Dark Electrode + Rocket's Sneasel Ex)
Powdacham/Espycham (T2 Medicham Ex/Medicham Ex + Espeon Ex)
Queendom (Nidoqueen + Pidgeot + Milotic)
Liability (Burning in HL-HP, Acid is either) (Burning = Typhlosion + Weezing, Acid = Victrebel + Weezing)
ZRE (Zapdos Ex + Electrode Ex + Rayquaza Ex)
Ludicargo (Ludicolo + Magcargo).

Actually, I think you missed a couple of good DX-DP decks as well:
Flygon Ex d Varients
Destiny
Sallygross.

Also, remember, so decks are viable in several different formats (RaiEggs, for example, was viable in HL-HP, DX-DP and could even be used in HP-DP) but may have been better in certain formats than others (continuing with Raieggs, it was probably at it's best in HL-HP) so would have to be considered for the right format to work best.

I think it would be a good idea to go a bit older, like RS-EM or maybe even E-Reader-HL, but it would be up to you in the end really. However, no matter what, I really like the idea, and would love to see this done, especially with some of my favourite old decks.
 
i know its a newish deck but if plox is going to be there shouldn't arithmetic (banette/cresselia - ascention shuppet) be there. you could do a full blown tournament 64 people doing 1 on 1 and report there game and there could be a redshark champion lol

Also, don't forget, decks can only use cards from their format.

So the Hidden Legends-On format ended at HP? Okay, I'll edit that...

Okay, I'll need clarifications on how Queendom, Ludicargo, Mercury and Destiny work.

Also, anybody got any suggestions on decks for RS-On? (like, how did BAR work?)
 
Okay, since nobody's saying anything, that's it for decks at the moment! Now, the next stage will commence! Whoever wants to take part at some stage, choose a deck! Any deck! From any format! First come, first serve!

If you don't know how the deck works, just ask, and I (or another one of our brilliant members) will explain exactly how the deck works.
