Newbie - Deck ideas?

Hey guys! I just got into the card game as alot of my friends were into it. I thought I'd join in. I've played card games before so I understand strategy, I'm just not familiar with these cards. I would love to play either a rush deck (Eeelektrik/Zekrom seemed interesting), or a snipe deck. I also have spent way to much money on card games before, so I'd like to keep it pretty cheap (As in no Mewtwo EXs. Haha) Anybody got any suggestions for me?
 
Zekrom/Eelektrik is actually one of the slowest decks around right now. Darkrai-EX variants and Celebi/Tornadus-EX/stuff are the "rushiest" decks right now.

Thanks for moving my thread. Sorry about that.

Darkrai EX and Tornadus EX are both too expensive for my budget. I'm just kinda doing casual play for now, but am still very competative. Any fast decks for a budget?
 
Try using something like ZPST. It's quite cheap now, and can still win some games. I'd also suggest you try running straight Terrakion. That's a great deck to play.
 
Just build an extremely basic ZekEels deck (No Mewtwo EX, Tornadus EX, etc.) and slowly build up to a better version of it as the season goes on, since it will most likely be competitive for a long time and it's fairly cheap to get the bare essentials.
 
Thanks so much for the suggestions guys. Yea I think im just going to build a simple ZekEel and slowly build up. My friends have been giving me hand-me-down trainer cards, so the deck should be cheaper for me now.
 
So I keep running into a problem. The more I think about making ZekEels, the more I realize it seems like it will get annihilated by Mewtwo Lv. X and Machamp. My friend also plays an old Kingdra deck that has been undefeated amongst his friends and family. What would be a fast, aggressive deck that wont be as weak as ZekEels against Mewtwo lv x and Machamp, and that could do well against a Kingdra deck?
 
Ah. Mewtwo LV.X. I remember him...Yanmega Prime is good against Machamp and Mewtwo, and should be relatively cheap now too if you order him offline. Unfortunately, he will be out of format very soon. You could also try Gothitelle to lock their Trainers and hit for Weakness on Mewtwo while slowing him down. (No Premier Ball!)
