Ruling Newcomer Questions

Hi. I'm new to this, and checking some cards i've found some things that i don't get. Here's the questions i have, even if they are dumb i hope someone can help me.

-Regarding smeargle's Trace attack, it says "...Trace copies that attack except for its Energy cost. (You must still do anything else required for that attack.)..."

I don't completely get it, for example, if i use trace to copy an attack that uses 3 energies, and i just have one energy on my smeargle, can i still perfom the attack?

-What does it do an attack like pachirisu's thunder jolt? It says that it does 20 damage, but in the text it says, "Flip a coin. If tails, pachirisu does 10 to itself" If the coin is tails, the 20 damage to the defending pokemon is "cancelled"

-Let's take Zigzagoon's Double Stab as an example for the next one. It does 10x, and it says "Flip 2 coins. This attack does 10 damage times the number of heads"

What's supposed to happen? I mean, does it do 10 damage, then 2 coins are flipped, for a total of 30 in case the 2 coins were head? Or it's a maximum of 20?

-What does DRE mean?

-Once i attach an Energy to a pokemon, it's attached permanently to it unless an attack or effect discards it? Or can i move cards between pokemon?

I think that's it for now.

yes you can use trace to copy opponents attacks no matter how much they cost as long as you get the coin flip.

when an attack says flip 2 coins or whatever there os no starting damage unless stated so if you fliped 2 tails it would do 0 damage and if you flipped 2 heads it would do 20 damage.

DRE = double rainbow energy

permanently attached

Yes, It says except for the energy cost.

Flip a coin if heads you then copy their attack. If it says to flip a coin you must flip a coin for that attack.

10x the number of heads after the Sketch heads. So it could only hit 20.

Double Rainbow Energy, but dRE means delta Rainbow Energy.

Absolutely not. Unless you have a Power or an attack effect that lets you move the correct type of energy.

1) The text can be confusing. Basically, you can do any attack. HOWEVER, if you can't do something that attack requires, such as discarding fire energy (if you only have a water for example attached to smergale), the attack fails.
2) The 10 damage does not cancel the attacks damage. Damage can only be cancelled if the attack says "Flip a coin, if tails, this attack does nothing".
3) It does 10 damage times the number of heads. If you flip 0 heads, it does 10x0=0. 1 heads, 10x1=10. 2 heads, 10x2=20. If it had an addition symbol next to it, it would add the base damage and whatever heads you fliped. If it said "Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage plus 10 more damage", the coin flip would determine the extra damage, not the base damage. Probly just overcomplicated it...lol sorry.
4) Double Rainbow Energy. Very sick card btw.
5) Most of the time you can't attach more then 1 or move energy cards. However, things like typhlosion's fire starter and sceptile's energy trans allow you to break both rules.

Wow, thanks for the quick replies guys. Really helped me :)

Sorry, i forgot this one too.

Darkrai's Sleep Hole attack says this.

Sleep Hole 40+

If the defendig Pokemon is Asleep, this attack does 40 damage plus 30 more damage. If the defending pokemon is not asleep, that pokemon is now asleep.

Then, if it's NOT asleep, it does 40 damage plus making it asleep?
