NFL Discussion Topic - Favorite Teams and How They are Doing

Well, the NFC East really sucks. All four teams lost this week, with the closest performance being by the Redskins, who could have gone to overtime, but tested their luck a little too far.

There's something about the month of December which seems to turn Romo and Garrett into brain-dead lumps. There is no way Romo needed to audible from a run and then throw a pass. The defense...just can't even get out of their own way. Again, they made a backup QB look like a freaking All-Star, same thing they did with Matt McGloin and Josh McCown. Kirk Cousins will do the same against this defense, so Washington should just put Dallas out of their misery before they embarrass themselves for the umpteenth time this season at home for all the marbles against Philly.

Why, oh why did Dallas completely forget they had a successful running game in the first half? Green Bay simply couldn't stop them! DeMarco Murray was manhandling the defense. But nope. Let's do nothing but pass the ball! Running game? What's that? Is it something I can be allergic too?

Playing defense? What's that? Coverage? What's that?

I could go on and on until the cows come home about this. It's absolutely ridiculous that Dallas can't play conservatively when they have big leads. They always have to try to keep their foot on the gas, and that's how losses to Green Bay and Detroit happened this year.

The team has so many problems, it's going to take a few NFL Drafts to fix.

The difference is the Cowboys gave up an enormous lead, and the Redskins had the option of tying it up but decided they really had nothing to lose.

Yes yes go go go Green Bayyyyy

If Dallas ends up bombing; which they probably will, Jason Garrett should be fired. Clean the whole coaching staff too while they're at it.

Fire Callahan and Monte Kiffin as well. Dallas need coaches down there who can force players to take accountability for their actions. As it is right now, actions like Dez walking off in a huff "to cry in peace" needs to be reprimanded.

With reporters and former players dogging Dez for walking off and leaving his teammates holding the bag, and all Garrett said basically accounts to a slap on the wrist, it's meaningless. Had Dez did this under Jimmy Johnson or Tom Landry's watch, he'd have been reprimanded. Jason Garrett has a backbone, but all he is now is basically a meat puppet for Jerruh to talk through. Jerry needs to loosen his belt and get a coach in their who can throw his weight around, whip those bunch of sadsacks into shape and actually get accountability from the players for their head-scratching actions.

Thank you Baltimore! Saved the Bears season! Now we just have to win out against the Eagles and Packers.... One can only hope...
Did you guys know the Bears have the most total points scored this season behind Denver? Odd considering the offence is usually poor and the defense is usually dominant. Rejuvinate this defense to even half as good as years before and they can be a Super Bowl caliber team!

Only Dallas could give up a 20 point lead

To be honest, there are a few teams capable of choking like that.

Falcons, Broncos, Bears all gave up huge leads at least once this season. Texans and Browns also ruined my day by letting an upset against the Patriots slip away.

Saints lost to Rams >_> so now they have to beat the Panthers to win their division and get the #2 seed. I like their chances, but the way the Saints play on the road. Who knows...

This week was upset week lol. If only the Giants offense put up a fight, or at least a finger, against the Seahawks.

Eli Manning is my most hated NFL player, so when he struggles it's a delight to me.

I was giddy watching him fall apart in the season-opening loss to Dallas and his look after the Brandon Carr game-icing INT was priceless.

I'm also happy Dallas finally beat NYG at home this season for the first time since Texas Stadium was still the home for the Cowboys.

Yeah its about time Dallas won a game against a bad team.

Dallas lost 5 years in a row to NYG, they never lost 5 straight at home to a division rival until then.

It all started in 2007 and who Eli rode that defense to the Super Bowl and winning it, he just got under my skin so bad.

While I may hate the Philadelphia Eagles the most out of any team, Eli Manning is by far my most hated player.

There could be a max of 8 coaches being fired during the offseason (Oakland, NY Giants, NY Jets, Washington, Detroit, Dallas, Tampa Bay, Atlanta). Dallas (Jason Garrett) and Detroit (Jim "May the Schwartz be with you" Schwartz) hinging upon finishing strong and getting into the playoffs.

I wouldn't say Eli is the most hated NFL player though. YOU may hate him, heck, even Giants fans like me may hate him, but he has done a crapton for the team. He was a great player, but this season has just got to him in ways that can't be reversed. I'd rather see Eli go out than Tom Coughlin, any day.

Giants won't fire Tom Coughlin. He'd either retire or make the decision himself to step down, ala Mack Brown did with Texas.

They're not going to fire him, Coughlin's going to have to make a decision on 2014 himself.

Marriage Equality Reaches New Mexico!

Same_Sex_Marriage_Map_web.jpg

“Prohibiting same-gender marriages is not substantially related to the governmental interests advanced by the parties opposing same-gender marriage or to the purposes we have identified. Therefore, barring individuals from marrying and depriving them of the rights, protections, and responsibilities of civil marriage solely because of their sexual orientation violates the Equal Protection Clause under Article II, Section 18 of the New Mexico Constitution. We hold that the State of New Mexico is constitutionally required to allow same-gender couples to marry and must extend to them the rights, protections, and responsibilities that derive from civil marriage under New Mexico law.”

New Mexico is now the 16th state where marriage equality is the law of the land, following Hawaii and Illinois, which joined the club last month.

The only way Romo could hurt his team even more.....out for the final, most important game of the season for them. Great job.

Garrett and Jerry haven't stated he'll miss the game, but it certainly doesn't look like he'll play.

If there is a Santa Clause, he'll carry Schiano out of Tampa Bay in his sack and never bring him back. I really hope that guy is one of 8 fired. I have over 800 fans on my Fire Schiano facebook page and can't say enough about how much I despise him. Been going to games since the early 80s and haven't felt this unsure of which direction the organization is going for a while now.

Glad to see both the Cowboys and Giants struggle this year ;-)
