Ruling Nidoqueen and Poison Question

i'm pretty sure it's the player's choice.
like if the pokemon was 10 away from a KO, they could queen first then poison.
and they could also queen after poison to negate the damage when not that close for KO's.

The player in control of the Pokemon being affected by the poison chooses the order of the effects. Either way, it will not result as a KO, because the effects are happening in between turns, and you must check for KOs only after applying all in-between turn effects.

What happens first? Poison or Maternal Comfort?

You choose the order IIRC because both effects happen at the same time.

dmaster out.

I told you, Julia. >___>

dmaster out.

Actually, you don't have to choose the order because all things that happen between turns are done before a knock out check is done.

The order doesn't matter. You do all the things in between turn before checkin for Knock Outs. Doesn't matter what order it is, if it is 10 damage short from a KO 2 things can happen:
Apply poison first and then Maternal Comfort; - 10 + 10 = 10 short from KO thus no Knock Out.
Apply Maternal Comfort first and then poison; + 10 - 10 = 10 short from KO thus no Knock Out.

All pokebodies, special conditions, ect... Happen at the same time in between turns. If nidoqueen is poisoned then it's body basically negates the effect of poison, even though it's still there, so there would be no sense in adding or removing damage.

I was in this situation at a tournament and I couldn't K.O. a nidoqueen because of this. :(
