It's still something that can be tossed around in Expanded, so it doesn't hurt to ask.
The metagame in expanded doesn't favor Night March so much. It's good against aggro decks like Yveltal and Bees but struggles to anything with Seismitoad. And puzzle of time is not included in the expanded night march due to having Mew-ex and 4 valleys and at least 3 basic energies. So the slots are open for whatever you might tech in.
Unless your playing at worlds, I think everybody just can't wait for it to rotate. In expanded Ghetsis keeps that entire deck at bay.

The main reason people are asking about steam sieges changes on Night March, is because of worlds. Even though it's only one event, it's the most major event of the year, which gives people plenty of reason to ask about Night March.
