I think the problem is that if you get the Switch 2 it sounds like you still have to pay extra within the game for higher res, not just buy nicer hardware.Sounds like a skill issue ngl, u can still enjoy the same game but the newer system will obviously have better graphics. Also, would u rather have only one system get games (requiring people to get another system) or have it available on two so people dont have to get another system to play a game from there favorite system. That sounds like gatekeeping
In which case they are releasing an incomplete product for switch users, which I'd argue is worse than the original case of paying for a framerate upgrade (see also BotW for WiiU--remember that?).For scarlet and violet the upgrade is free, and we dont know about ZA's yet, the only paid ones we know of that are paid are zelda, the ones like zelda kirby and mario party, which have been shown to have actual additional content on top of the improvements.
Also yeah the vers is gonna run better on newer hardware that should be obvious, I personally think at the very least tho the base switch vers shouldnt be full price, but the switch 2 being so would make sense, but its nintendo.
tbh im just gonna buy only the 2 version, my switch is busted anyway
ZA will be a cross gen release. You can get the switch 1 or the switch 2 edition when it comes out. To upgrade will definitely be paid, but I'm guessing hardly anyone that needs ZA in optimal performance will bother buying the switch 1 version just to upgrade later. If you are too poor to buy a switch 2 until 2026, you don't get to whine about switch 1 quality graphics. Just sayin. For scarlet and violet the upgrade is free, and we dont know about ZA's yet, the only paid ones we know of that are paid are zelda, the ones like zelda kirby and mario party, which have been shown to have actual additional content on top of the improvements.

450 is actually reasonable, it has roughly the same specs as a PS5, The $70 games are also similar to the PS5. It's basically a handheld PS5. If you can pay for a PS5, you can pay for this (minus you know, life problems and stuff)Yeah I'm not investing in the Super Switch. I know the tariff thing isnt their fault but $450 console. Nintendo family plan, 70-80 dollar games, 30 dollar amiibos. No thank you.
Yeah but I have a lot more games/uses for PS5 vs a Switch. For me it's not a worthy investment especially with the price of games and upgrades450 is actually reasonable, it has roughly the same specs as a PS5, The $70 games are also similar to the PS5.
