I'll be at EG. I'm trying to go to another one though...what would be the closest?

Carmichael and Modesto will be the next closest to you.

We are going to Concord, Hollister, Santa Clara and possibly Modesto.

I'll most lIkely be at elk grove, Modesto, and Cameron park if they decide to have one.

List has been updated. Cameron Park and Roseville Battle Roads were added.

I find it odd that Carmichael and Cameron Park are happening on the same day at the same time.

Both venues are pretty small, so maybe they want to make sure they can accomodate all players in that area?

I'm trying to attend a lot of BRs this year so I'll likely be going to Concord on the first, Elk Grove on the second, and then whichever ones are on the next three weekends, seeing as they'rthey have their own specific dates.

Hmm it's good you mentioned those venues are small. I'll need to ask around if we need to reserve slots just like the past two Morgan Hill BRs.

Looks like Concord and Elk Grove is going to be massive next weekend.

Have any idea which one will be larger?

Carmichael is closer to the Stockton/Modesto player base so expect Carmichael to be larger.

I just hope that the venues can handle those masses... Concord isn't known for being able to hold too many people. As for Elk Grove, it's a Round Table, so we'll see.

Lol at Elk Grove Cities last year. Forgot to book the party room sow we all had to play in the dining area.

Looks like PTE have changed Hollister to September 8 so that means Elk Grove is going to be massive.

The Game Kastle people will most likely drive to Concord instead of Carmichael and Cameron Park since it is closer. However the Sacramento and Stockton player base will go to both Carmichael and Cameron Park so hopefully Concord won't be as crowded like it was last season.

Glad that Concord will be filled but not cramped. And of course, the totally awesome Concord crowd will be representing Black Diamond Games. ;)

We went to DE pre-releases at both Cameron Park (Round Table Pizza venue) and Carmichael (local card shop).

The party room at Round Table/Cameron Park held 8-10 tables. Each table holds six chairs, although it would be tough to squeeze 6 players at one table. There's also the common dining room, and probably about 20 more tables?

The local card shop at Carmichael (can't remember the name) had 4 rows of tables, and each row held 2 of those banquet tables, so technically could host a large crowd, but when we were there for the pre-release, one table was set aside for another card game (magic?)

Assuming no other family, school, birthday party or other commitments come up, we're planning to go to Concord, Elk Grove, Santa Clara, Modesto and Roseville.

^I personally don't know how many people will be at the Cameron Park BR but it is my regular league so I have a bit of an idea of the player base. Honestly we have about a 25 player base at the Cameron Park league+ any people who come from other cities a rough estimate would be 30-35 people tops. And we have all those tables so if anyone is looking for an uncrowded BR on the 1st my best bet would be Cameron Park, which I will personally be attending.

I'd go to Cameron park if Concord wasn't on the same day. Concord is the closest location to me, period, and my usual league location so naturally I'll be going to that on the 1st.

Can we pre-register for any of these BRs or is the plan just to show up? Thanks.

You just show up except if its the Morgan Hills one (no date has been posted on this one). Morgan Hills requires pre-reg because of limited space.

UPDATE: I just spoke with the Morgan Hill organizer and expect it to be held during the last weekend (Saturday) of the Fall Battle Roads calendar.

Thanks for the info. I'm betting Concord will be pretty crowded tomorrow!
