North East England Tournaments / Leagues?

Hi guys,

Ive searched on the official TCG checker, and the closest place to me is an hour and a half drive away, far too long. Im closer to the middlesbrough/newcastle area.

Just wondering if anyone knows of anywhere that has meet ups in the North East of England to play pokemon? Or how I could go about finding? Ive searched google and facebook so far and not had any joy.
 
Just had a quick check on Pokémon.com and the closest regular league is in Wakefield, but it's over 60 miles away from Middlesborough.
My suggestion would be to check if your closest university has a Pokémon Society and see if they hold regular meet-ups (I myself host tournaments and games days for the Society at my own house). If your area is rather deprived of Pokémon, I'm sure they won't be too exclusive :)

Thats a good idea actually, i'll take a look at if teesside university has a club going.
