Oddities during playing

You know they happen, the really odd stuff that makes you go "Huh, did he just?" which cause a laugh afterwards, but mainly confused looks during the moment itself. I'll kick this off for some laughs, then I'd like you to follow up.

Side-Event, Round 2

I'm a lousy shuffler, as in, traditional shuffling. Therefore, I make a point of pile-shuffling my deck in between each game, and I devised a method that gives good enough results for me. So during a game against my opponent I shuffle my deck, looking clumsy as always. The guy sitting opposed to me on the table next to us just looks, and asks "Can't you shuffle?" I explain him that I'm clumsy and so shuffle like that. To which he just takes his own deck and shuffles it...while he was in the middle of his own game! During his game he just shuffled his deck, to demonstrate how to. All three of us (Me, my opponent and his opponent) just looked at him, a judge spotted it too, and he got a warning not to do that again (Ofcourse, nothing serious, BR Side event) and afterwards we all laughed about it, but man, that was odd.

Battle Road Rotterdam, Round 3 out of 5

So I was playing against this AMU deck, and I had a little problem - that being I needed one of my TSD's as fast as possible. It took 4 turns of Regice discarding, Bebe playing and 2 Claydols Cosmic Powering before I finally got one of the two, and I start flipping. Tails.....Tails.....Tails. Feeling that right there cost me the game 100% certainly, I just dropped my hand on the table...which kind of had a bigger effect then I thought it had, as the whole table went shaking, dices clattered, decks almost fell...not just on my table, but the table next to mine as well. I can now laugh thinking about it, particulary given the looks on the others faces. But that did startle me at the moment.

So share your oddities, and lets have some giggles. No need to be serious.

My brother passing up a regirock ex in a booster draft for a AH charmander....
My friend chris passing up a regice* in a booster draft....
Me pulling 3 exs/stars in 4 packs of DS!
Nothing that weird usually happens, outside of amazing games, but drafts seem to have some...weird...stuff.

I was playing in BR and kept getting poisoned by Gliscor the match went the full 45 min and we were each down to the our last prize cards, that whole match I did not roll one heads. Even on moves like triple attack.

In a league tournament, I was trying out a newly constructed TogeVire deck. It was double elemination, meaning that two losses and you are out. It gets down to where I will take my last prize, ending the game. Only problem was that I needed Two Heads on Electivire's attack. Electivire already has an energy on it, and I attach another. Motor Drive another one on. Serene Grace three. I start flipping. Tails. Tails. Tails. Tails. Heads. ... Tails. I then lost the game after thouse bad flips. -_-

At a BR, I was forced to use my Magnezone deck because I couldn't get any TSD's for Poli. So, it gets deck checked, and it's 4 rounds. 4th round, and I'm up against Houndoom. He sweeps through me, but I manage to pick off two houndooms. He has one active, nothing benched. I pull a Magneton from the deck, evolve, attach, and then if I can hit all three heads with Tri Attack, I'll win and make it into the Top Cut. Flip one. Heads. Flip two. Heads. Flip three. Tails.

I have now come to regard Tails as Fails.

Once at a LA PR , I built a 1 groudon and 39 fighting deck.
I got like 3-4 muligins
I played my friend in round 3 and he Donked me.
Then we played again for fun and I get 15 muligins (sorry for the bad spelling , I can't use spell checker right now.)

In an LA pre-release, my sister has questioning why the heck I stuck in a Groudon as it was practically useless in my deck. I ended up playing against her and donked her on T2.

She complained that I cheated on her and that Groudon was nothing but a cheap card in the limited format.

In another round, my sister was playing against a guy named Chris. He was in a good mood as his Normal Forme Deoxys was One more hit from KO'ing my sister's Unown W. It was her turn. She attached the third energy to Unown W and attacked... then they both realize that Deoxys had a x2 weakness for a OHKO. I laughed so hard and felt so sorry for the poor kid.

And one of my rounds I was playing against someone when I had one prize left. I had a Kingdra (in a limited format, yes) vs Ditto with 60 damage stuck on it. He then retreated to Frolass and then attacked. After about 3 turns I asked about Ditto's hp. Then I realize that Ditto's hp was no longer 130 hp, but 60.

I had fun laughing.

In one of my BRs, someone had a Chatot against me. Then he used Roseanne's. After search trough the deck once, he did it again...

and twice...
and thrice...

Then he groaned and said that all of his Gibles were prized.
Everyone at the table except him had a kick out of it.

I have had 3 Horsea's Two Rare Candies and 1 Kingdra prized during a fun game against my brother. I still ended up winning with 1 Aerodactyl sweeping 4 of his pokemon FTW. Confusion has been my favorite Sp. Condition since.

i was playing empoleon against one kid and i DONK'ed him like T3-4 with kyogre, then i checked my prizes and 2 empos, 2 piplps, and a prinplup were prized...

My friend was playing a Kabutops lock deck for Br's. He is 2-1 and it is the third round. If he wins, he will make the top cut. He is playing aganist Froslass/Spiritomb/Claydol/Bronzong/Yanmega. This shouldn't have been a hard battle for him, considering that he locks trainers and spreads for Suppoters (Ampharos)/powers (Aerodactyl). He runs a total of 11 basics, and shuffles well. Then, he gets 8 mulligans, letting his opponent get an unbeatable hand. It doesn't compare with most of you guys, but the whole table did stop to watch that one.

I was at a BR's... and one of my cards from my PLOX deck got mixed up into my friends, and I get a procedures warning... but hey!! Cards are going to be mixed up when all 6 people at a table all decide to use the Darkrai, Great Encounters sleeves.

i was playing against my sister with my garchomp deck, she had a starting hand of:
1 gible
2 pokeradar
1 rare candy
2 dusk ball
1 energy (electric i think)

she went first, sha attached an energy to her gible and push'downed my relichant to my dome fossil, i draw a card, it was a rare candy, and in my hand i had fossil excavator, so i searched for kabutops and candied my dome fossil into him.
my sister is stupid, cuz if she has a good card/starting hand, she always shows it XD
well, the only things she draw into, where trainers XD, her prizes where a baltoy, 2 gible, an azelf and 2 unown ? XD
she was very unlucky

I just remembered another incident. I was playing against T-Tar/Darkrai deck. The kid had 3 spec. dark energies in his discard pile. He knew that with the prizes, 5-1, even T-Tar can't pull the game around fast enough. So he scooped. I saw that he had 2 Special Dark in his hand. I told him that you're only allowed to have 4 of each one. He shook his head and said that they're different because they came from different sets.

I'm annoyed at reprints since then.

Double-posting, lol.

I've just remembered another incident. I happened to be watching some other game. One guy played Darkrai, inflicting sleep condition, but could not do anything because his hand was nothing but Pokemon (He had 4 cards in his hand only). So he passed, energy-less. The opponent flipped for sleep and then got tails. Then passed, flipped and got tails. It was his turn. He drew, and got SSU, and thus passed. The opponent flipped again and got tails.

THIS HAPPENED FOR FOUR WHOLE TURNS!! Everyone around them was laughing hard.

I hope you know he was lying. You can't have more than 4 of any card that isn't a basic energy. Darkness Energy is Darkness Energy, no matter what set it came in.

Its probably more that that guy believed they were different cards.

Anyway. I got 2 more.

CC Last year:
My opponent was mulliganing a few times while I had my setup. Then she saw (After 2 Mulligans, during her 3rd she noticed) that she had the wrong deck. Different sleeves, different types, no indication at all. Oddly enough I had to redo my setup and she got no penalty for this weirdness.

Today:
I was playing my Gliscor-Boomerang, and was playing Togekiss-Zapdos. My opponent had played Rowan, and after I KO'd Togekiss, next turn she (Same as the previous one) suddenly had 11 cards in her hand. Turns out she had put her Togekiss in her hand with all the other cards. She claimed that the boring play (Play Gliscor X, Gliscor, Gligar, Burning Poison, send out Jumpluff) made her feel doozy.

Well one time someone evolved their magmar into a claydol which also happened with a beldum into a dragonite it was just lol

Another time I saw someone lose because they used a supporter when the opponent had ampharos in play, knocking out their 2 pokmeon in play and I believe he was winning at that point.

that's funny, yesterday i was playing against an empo deck and he played NM then accidentally put his cards in my deck because we both playing the same deck/sleeves i noticed before it happened though.
