Official Erratas for Fighting Stadium and Jamming Net Issued [11/18]

I think most people already knew about this a while back. Still, no harm in posting it here.

That said, though, Landorus-EX just got quite a bit more powerful. Not by much, but against EX's, all Landorus-EX needs is a Muscle Band, Fighting and Strong Energy to do 90 to the Active and 50 to a Bencher. That's REALLY good for a Basic for 1 Energy!!

I didn't know this...but then again I don't exactly play competitively so I didn't really need to know it either. Still good to find out though.

Actually, the errata is in place to prevent that effect. With the original language of the card, this would be the case. The errata uses the language "Active Pokemon" now over the previous "Defending Pokemon".

As for Jamming net, it primarily fixed the rather rare special case of self-damage. The original language would benefit the target Pokemon by causing it to less damage to itself in addition to less damage to all other Pokemon. That is no longer the case.

The amount of people who go to PokeGym and TCG FB groups is like 1% of all the TCG fans out there. :p

And we're much cooler than those groups anyway. :p

It's good that they're coming out and clearing this stuff up before Cities, where it certainly would have otherwise been an issue. Myself and three other Professors agreed that Fighting Stadium should have only affected the opponent's active Pokemon due to its Japanese text before the errata was issued. However, if an official ruling hadn't been issued we would have risked being incongrouous with judges at other events who might or might not have agreed with our ruling. Props to PokePop and tPCI for catching this before it started a real commotion.

*reads article again*

Oh! So the rule states AGAINST that! Sorry, didn't notice.

I'm glad they've made everyone aware of it officially, I also like that they decided to go this route instead of the route alot people were taking before the errata.
