Just a few questions regarding the Pokemon official sleeves pictured below:

I don't really play TCG, I just collect. So, my question is

Are these sleeves acid free (PVC free)?
Do you recommend storing cards in them over a long period of time?
Are they good to use for a collection?

I guess just questions along those lines. Thanks in advance for your help guys!

No clue about the acid, but they are sturdy sleeves. difficult to fit in a binder page though. if you do play, the walking starter are not leagle for tourny play

Thanks Konter, yeah I heard they weren't allowed. So I guess the primary question left is if they're PVC free??

^I use the Origin-tina & Landmin sleeves & there PVC free....so I'd say that these ones are also.

Did you check the site/retailer information where you bought the sleeves from (or possibly even the package itself)? They should be able to tell you whether they're PVC-free sleeves or not, most likely...

Yeah, I checked the site as well as the actual sleeves and don't see anything regarding PVC. (given the sleeves are Japanese).

I would assume they are PVC-Free, since they are generally known as excellent quality sleeves.

The Tepig/Oshawott/Snivy ones would be legal, at least in my area because they have a solid border, but the Walking Starters and Reshiram ones don't have a solid border all the way around, which makes them much easier to tamper with or mark.

I know some of these aren't tourny legal, but how are they for collections? Thanks to all those you answered thus far. I appreciate it! I'm going to assume that they are PVC free with the answers so far.

I've been doing some in-depth research (and I guess at this point I may seem a little crazy lol, but they're really cool sleeves and I want to use them for my collection) and It looks like they're PVC free, although I haven't gotten a definite answer. I'm just basing that on assumption(s) lol.

@GoldenDP The Zekrom/Reshiram ones have a solid black lined border so therefore they are legal,

Most sleeves that are Japan-exclusive are pretty much great for collector value, as far as I can see.
